39.Broken!

Author's pov:

"Follow her"
Leo ordered the guards , seeing Sofia going outside the Mansion.

Leo knew Sofia was never allowed to leave the mansion alone. Ansh would never let her go like that. His enemies were waiting to get their hands on her for revenge.But there she was, slipping out into the night. Something serious must have happened inside.

Leo turned on his Bluetooth, his voice low and urgent. "Keep an eye on her,"
he instructed the guards who went behind her.
"Don't let her out of your sight."

Leo entered the mansion and his gaze caught the  family gathered there. He didn't bother to get in their family drama. He locked eyes with Naira, silently inquiring about Ansh. Naira's subtle glance, directed towards Ansh's room, provided the answer he sought. With a nod, Leo turned and headed straight for the room.

Leo pushed open the door to Ansh's room. The sight that greeted him was unexpected. The whole room was Messy. A photo frame of Ansh and Sofia lay broken on the ground, a shattered vase lay on the floor, its pieces scattered across the room. A half-empty whiskey bottle was within reach. It was clear that something had pushed Ansh to the edge.

Leo found Ansh standing by the balcony, his figure silhouetted against the night sky. Anger radiated from him in waves. Leo approached him, placing a hand on his shoulder from behind to calm him.
"What's wrong?" He asked

Ansh turned, his eyes filled with anger.
"She betrayed me once again,"
he growled, his voice low and dangerous.

"But what happened exactly?"
Leo asked, his voice low and steady.

"She helped Kiara to escape,"
Ansh spat, his voice laced with venom.
"She had a deal with Adrik. It was all planned. Ever since she was kidnapped"

"But why? Why did she pull a stupid stunt?
Leo asked, confused.
"Everything was going well between you two. Then all of a sudden what made her do this?"

"The fuck do I know?"
Ansh growled, his voice filled with frustration.

Leo nodded, his expression grim.
"We'll figure this out later. What about kiara?"

"She's in his mansion," Ansh growled.

"Do you have any plan to bring her back?" Leo asked.

"Don't worry,"
Ansh said, with confidence.
"I know her each and every move inside that Mansion
Once she steps out, the whole Mansion will be on fire"

"But his family,"
Leo cautioned,
"They're innocent. We've never hurt anyone who didn't deserve it. Let's think this"

"His brother kidnapped Sofia,"
Ansh spat, his voice laced with aggression.
"He tried to force himself on her! I could have ended him right then and there, but I spared him for his fucking family. But this time, they'll pay for his sins. They'll suffer for what my family is suffering"

Leo was silent. He knew Ansh was blinded by rage. He also knew that a war with Adrik's family would be costly, but they themselves are digging their graves.

Ansh went to Devika's room,his heart was heavy.
He had loved Sofia deeply, a love he'd never felt before not even for Bella. The whole family has seen him changing for her.

Ansh's head rested on Devika's lap, his breaths shallow. She was gently caressing his hair, her heart aching for him. She knew the pain of betrayal, the sting of heartbreak.

"It's okay, my child. You'll get through this."
Devika said in a soft voice.

"I trusted her. How could I have been so blind?"
Ansh mumbled.

Devika sighed, her eyes filled with a mix of pity and wisdom.
"Things men do in love, my boy. If you truly loved her, let her go."

Devika placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Time heals all wounds. Let it run its course."

Ansh nodded slowly, his eyes fixed on the floor. He knew she was right, but it was easier said than done. He was consumed by anger and betrayal.

"I'll try,"
he muttered, his voice barely audible.

Ansh ordered the maids to throw all sofia's belongings out of his room. He knew that removing Sofia from his life was the only way to heal. It was a painful decision, but a necessary one. He hoped that time would heal his wounds and he could move on.

On the other hand Leo was keeping a close eye on Sofia. She was like a sister to him, and he felt a duty to protect her.With Ansh lost in his own pain, Leo decided to ensure Sofia's safety. This was also a silent warning from Naira, a reminder to safeguard Sofia.

On the same day, Sofia left the country and shifted to Italy. She decided to distance herself from those people. Luckily, Mrs. Smith had an apartment in Italy, where Sofia can stay for a few days until she's totally settled in the country.
