Man Unkind

People; humans, are given the title of "Mankind."

It seems as if no man nor woman lives up to the full potential of that title. 

It's a known fact that people are not kind to each other. They may try to be, but alas, it is to no avail. 

Humans are selfish. 

They have the capability, the ability to move mountains, to do something greater than them. 

9 times out of 10 when given that decision, they choose the latter.

Humans are confusing. They are complicated and they are fickle. 

I don't try to understand them.  

How could I when I don't even understand myself?

Every human is capable of being malicious...of being the worst possible version of themselves..

Perhaps, they do that to fully figure themselves out.  To find themselves. I don't know I haven't figured that part out yet. 

You can try to poke holes in this theory by speaking about the most sweet and dear person you know, but when it comes down to it..

When it's the bigger picture, mankind is unkind. 

Humans disrupt nature. Humans cause earthquakes, tsunamis, and eruptions.. metaphorically speaking. 

Humans disrupt lives. They cause riots and unnecessary violence. 

They are the cause of their own demise. 

They put unnecessary ripples in their lives that cause tidal waves. 

Mankind is unkind.
