It's a cozy Saturday night, and the kids' room buzzes with laughter and the whirring of toys. Travis watches his three-year-old son, Robin, clutching an electric car remote, trying to maneuver the toy car around the room. His one-year-old daughter, Willow, waddles unsteadily, giggling as she toddles away from her brother's playful chase. The room fills with their laughter, warm and bright."Guys, let's be a little quiet, okay? Mommy's resting," Travis says softly, sitting on the floor and putting a finger to his lips.
After a long day in the studio, Taylor arrives back in Kansas City, feeling unusually tired. When Travis picks up the kids from daycare, he finds her fast asleep. Deciding she needs rest, he takes over for the evening, determined to give her a peaceful break.
Willow suddenly totters toward him, arms outstretched, and falls into his embrace.
"I got you, girl," Travis says, scooping her up and settling her in his lap. He strokes her hair gently as she snuggles into his chest, one thumb in her mouth.
"Monster, Dada," Willow mumbles, pointing at the electric car, her big eyes wide with curiosity.
"It's not a monster, honey. It's just a car," Travis chuckles, patting her tiny back. He glances at Robin, who is engrossed in the toy, his little face lit up with excitement.
"Alright, that's enough for tonight—bedtime, guys!" Travis claps his hands.
Robin quickly gathers his toys. He knows better than to mess with his dad when bedtime is called. Willow leans deeper into Travis's chest, clearly wanting to be carried.
"Can we have the best bedtime story again, Dad?" Robin asks eagerly, tugging on Travis's free hand as they head to the bathroom.
"Which one, buddy?" Travis asks, balancing Willow on one hip while helping Robin climb onto the bathroom stool to brush his teeth.
"The one about how you met Mom!" Robin exclaims, carefully squeezing toothpaste onto his toothbrush. Willow giggles with enthusiasm.
Travis grins. "Alright, alright. You two really love that story, don't you?" He gently cleans Willow's tiny teeth with a baby swab while Robin brushes vigorously.
After their nightly routine, the three of them settle into Robin's bed. Willow sprawls across Travis's chest, clutching his shirt with one hand, while Robin snuggles close under his arm, draping a protective arm over his sister.
"Okay, here we go," Travis begins, his voice soft and warm. "It all started back in 2023. Your mom was on her big *Eras* tour, performing in front of thousands every night."
Robin nods enthusiastically. They've seen the movie countless times, though not as often as they've rewatched *Cars* or Disney princess movies.
"One night in July, she performed at Arrowhead Stadium, right here in Kansas City. Uncle Patrick and Aunt Brittany invited me to go, and let me tell you, your mom... she's a superstar."
Robin pipes up, "But *you* liked her first, right?"
Travis laughs. "Of course, buddy. I've been a fan since 'Blank Space' came out in 2014. But I never thought I'd meet her in person."
He pauses, a fond smile crossing his face as memories resurface. "I even made her a friendship bracelet, hoping to give it to her that night, but I didn't get the chance. I heard that she doesn't talk or meet anyone before or after the concert. But you know the truth is your mom is a bit of a liar, she does meet people before and after the concert. It just she didn't know me at that time, so she didn't want to meet me. Which is fair for me" Travis shrugs.
