Butterflies

"How are things with Alex going?" Kian asks me as he pours himself cereal

"Good"

"Just good?"

"Great"

"I'm glad to hear that" he smiles "How long have you guys been dating?"

"A week and one day" I smile

I'm happy with Alex. He's nice, he cares about me and he even gives me a rose everyday. Having a boyfriend is so different. I now understand the phrase "butterflies in my stomach"

"But, I need to go now" I say grabbing my bag

"Going to see Alex?"

"Yea" I smile

"Have fun"

"I will" I say and close the door

I finally arrived in J-2 after a long and hot walk. California in the summer is utter hell.

I go in the cabin and see one of his roommates.

"Do you know where Alex is?" I ask

"What the hell makes you think you could talk to me?" She says in a Brooklyn accent

"I'm right here. Don't mind Tiffany" says Alex coming down the stairs

"Hey" i smile

"Hey" he hugs me

"I missed you" I say and peck his lips

"I missed you too" he smiles

"This is literally the fucking grossest shit ever" says Tiffany as she rolls her eyes and walks out

"What the hell is her problem?" I ask

"She's usually always like this but her boyfriend broke up with her so she's even more pissed"

"Oh"

"So what do you want to do today?" I ask

"I thought we could just stay home today"

"Oh uhh ok"

"Is that ok?" He asks

"Yea that's fine" I smile

"Good" he says "wanna go up to my room?"

"Sure"

We pass a few rooms including Karol's. His was the last one down the hall.

It was like all of the other rooms. There were a few things laying around the room but it was pretty clean. Nyla's room is a mess. So is Kian's. Jc's is ok. I can't stand messy rooms.

"Wanna watch tv?" He asks

Knowing Alex, I don't think we're going to watch much tv.

"What do you want to watch?" He asks

"Can you check if parks and rec is on?" I ask

If you haven't noticed, parks and recreation is my favorite show.

"Sure"

There indeed was an episode on tv so we watched some of it.

"I love you're eyes" says Alex "they're such a pretty shade of green"

They're Hazel. But I don't correct him because what he said was sweet.

"Thank you" I smile

And then after that we made out. For like 20 long minutes. Sometimes it seems as if that's all we ever do. I don't exactly enjoy our make out sessions. He's still a wet kisser. I guess kissing is just not for me.

Then we went out to get something to eat, made out in the car and then he dropped me off at my cabin.

I look at my phone. It's 4:07 pm.

I plop down on the couch next to Kian.

"What's wrong?" He asks

"I don't know" I sigh "its just that.. You know that like nervous exciting butterflies in your stomach feeling?"

"Yea"

"Well, sometimes I get that with Alex"

"Then what's the problem"

"I don't get it when we kiss. When we kiss I don't feel anything at all. In fact, I kind of want it to be over"

"Damn. There are only two answers.
1. You don't like him
2. He's a really really bad kisser"

"But, I do like him. And I'm pretty sure he's not a bad kisser because he's had like a million girlfriends"

"So?" Laughs Kian

"You don't have to kiss when you fuck"

"Oh. I never thought of that"

"Luna, do you love him?" Asks kian

"No. We've been dating for a week. I really care about him though. He's a really nice guy"

"Alright, well I think that kissing should never be a bad experience, in fact it should leave you wanting more so there is something that's not right"

"Ughh" I groan

"Kian I'm done showering" says Jc as he comes out of the bathroom

"Ok, well I'm gonna go shower" says kian

"you go do that" I smile "but, thanks for the talk"

"Anytime"
