The Fallen Champion (Ben 10 X Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss)

Connections Made Through Combat and Calamity

The chapter starts off with Ben sitting in the lounge area of the hotel, laying his body across it, his phone above his head as he stares up at it.

Ben appears very clearly bored as he stares at his phone. It's a slow day at IMP, so he didn't bother going in. It also appears that Charlie doesn't have anything planned for the day, so there isn't much at the hotel for him to do either.

Ben called Carmilla to see if he could go and train with her, but she told him that she was too busy at the moment. So, unfortunately, Ben is left with absolutely nothing to do.

Ben: 'This is fantastic. Absolutely nothing to do today.'

Ben's phone suddenly falls onto his face, but he doesn't initially react. Ben just lays there, his arms still in the air, phone sliding off of his face and falling onto the floor.

Ben: "That was lovely."

Ben reaches down to grab his phone, then, at the same time, Vaggie walks into the lobby while propping her spear into her shoulder. Vaggie isn't wearing her usual attire, now sporting a sports bra and a pair of shorts.

Ben: "Hey, Vaggie." He grabs his phone, before sitting up on the couch. "Whatcha doing?"

Vaggie: "I was planning on practicing with my spear. Why do you ask?"

Ben: "Initially I was curious, but now I'm interested." He stands up. "How about we spar a bit? I've wanted to duel with you for a while now."

Vaggie: "I don't see why not. Will you use your sword?"

Ben: "Actually, I think I'll use my own spear."

Vaggie: "You have a spear too?"

Ben: "Yeah, and I could use some practice with it."

Vaggie: "Then we should get started."

Vaggie and Ben are now in a large room, which is meant to be a large dining area for guests at the hotel. However, for now, all of the tables and chairs have been moved against the walls, leaving a large circle in the center of the room.

On one of the many tables is a cooler and a couple of hand towels. Vaggie is holding two wooden staffs, one in each hand.

Vaggie: "Of course, we shouldn't use actual spears. We can't risk stabbing.....stabbing out an eye or something."

Ben: "Yeah, my left eye is already damaged and partially blind, I don't need to lose any sight in another eye."

Vaggie tosses one of the staffs at Ben, which Ben catches with ease. Vaggie readies the other staff in her hands.

Vaggie: "Are you ready to start?"

Ben: "About as ready as I'll ever be."

Vaggie charges at Ben and jabs the end of her staff at Ben, but he quickly ducks down and to the left of it. Ben then goes to jab Vaggie, but she expertly uses her staff to block it.

Ben jumps back and attempts a sideways swipe at Vaggie's legs, which she is able to jump back from. Ben repeatedly swipes at Vaggie, but she blocks or avoids each attack.

Ben goes for a downward strike, but Vaggie blocks the attack with her staff, keeping it from pushing down. Ben and Vaggie struggle against each other, trying to push the other back.

Ben: "This is pretty fun. We should do this more often."

Vaggie: "I'd have to agree with you on that."
