"Why did you storm out angrily like that, Yoongi hyung? Why did you have to say those things to uncle? That wasn't the right way to handle it. Aunt called Mom and told him everything. Mom didn't expect this from you. Taehyung hyung, Mom and everyone else wanted everything to go well. How much more damage will there be to this relationship?"
Ignoring the questions, Yoongi got off the boat and extended his hand to Jimin. But Jimin, still busy dipping his fair little feet into the greenish water of the lake, paid him no attention. The blazing summer heat had dried out the land, almost reaching the severity of a late-spring drought. Lost in the faint reflection of himself in the water, Jimin remained oblivious to Yoongi's presence.
Yoongi's patience wore thin. Instead of waiting, he grabbed Jimin in one swift motion and lifted him into his arms. Startled by the unexpected action, Jimin let out a loud shriek.
"What are you doing?! Why are you carrying me? Oh no, oh no! The boatman is watching! Put me down, put me down! Yoongi hyung!"
Yoongi glared at the lively, childlike figure in his arms. The stern look silenced Jimin immediately. Wrapping his arms around Yoongi's neck, he peeked over Yoongi's shoulder to look at the boatman. The elderly man was grinning ear to ear. Jimin whispered meekly, "See, he's laughing. He's definitely going to gossip about this later."
Yoongi furrowed his brows in thought for a moment and then said,
"Reach into my pocket."
"Why?"
"Take out my wallet."
The setting sun cast its glow across the lake, turning the sky a deep red like clotted blood. Meanwhile, Jimin's pale face flushed crimson at the suggestion. Yoongi, noticing the sudden change in his expression, smirked and whispered, "You weren't shy about confessing your love to me. But now, just reaching into my pocket embarrasses you? This is completely unexpected. I honestly thought the first touch would come from you after marriage. Now, take out my wallet."
Glaring fiercely, Jimin snapped, "Do you think I'm shameless? Love doesn't need to be hidden-it's meant to be expressed, which is why I said it. But that doesn't mean I'll go around doing other things! I'm an omega-I have decency, you know!"
"Want me to get you a microphone? Hold on, let me get one so you can announce that to the entire place. You're just as argumentative as your brothers! You never let a single word drop to the ground without replying."
Jimin turned as ferocious as a starving little tiger. Swiftly, he dug his nails into Yoongi's neck, making him wince in pain and let go of Jimin, who fell onto the slightly muddy bank. A small cry of discomfort escaped him.
The boatman, alarmed, climbed out of the boat, saying,
"Oh no, Yoongi, you dropped the Head council's youngest son! If the Head finds out, there'll be trouble!"
