"M-marriage?" - Jungkook's voice trembled with fear. Sweat soaked the back of his school uniform's blue shirt, sticking to his skin. His feet itched, but there was no time to scratch them with his fingers. A bead of sweat from his forehead slid down and landed on his nose.

Taehyung let out a sharp breath, his eyes scanning Jungkook from his feet to the top of his head with a piercing, intense gaze. That look penetrated Jungkook, making his blood rush through his veins. In an instant, his entire body felt cold. Why was this man looking at him like that? Why had he returned to Busan after so many years? And now that he was here, he seemed even more intimidating than before. His gaze was so powerful, it was hard to look away. The white formal shirt Taehyung wore only added to his imposing presence.

Taehyung glanced at his watch. It had been years since he last came here. Even though he had political influence here, the leader and council members had organized a small meeting. But Taehyung wasn't interested in attending. Kim Namjoon, his father, had been calling repeatedly, urging him to go. Taehyung was annoyed with his father's demands. His return to Busan wasn't for meetings; those things could be handled by his father. Switching off his phone, Taehyung turned to Jungkook and said in his deep, authoritative voice,

"Do you not understand what marriage means? Smiling like that when those boys followed you? You know what love means, don't you?"

Jungkook stayed silent. Taehyung clenched his teeth, scanning the surroundings. Before Jungkook could react, Taehyung swiftly grabbed his slender wrist and twisted it behind his back. Jungkook winced in pain, his body curling up in response. Before he could let out a whimper, Taehyung growled in a low, furious tone, his voice seething with anger,

"Don't you know who I am? What, you think because you've grown up, I won't hurt you anymore? Do you think I'll let you get away with this? You're going to fall in love, wander around with boys? I may have left the area, but I haven't left behind my habits. I'm not afraid of your brother. Even if I beat him up and buried him, no one would dare to say even a word. Remember the old days. I'm still that stubborn, short-tempered Taehyung who makes your knees shake. If you want love, affection from someone else, then what am I for? Have I been cutting grass like a fool, while you're off being adored by others?"

In the tension of the moment, Jungkook did something completely unexpected. Despite the pain and fear, he laughed at the last sentence 'cutting grass like a fool'. Could it be? Even in such a serious moment, his bad habit of laughing had kicked in. Taehyung's mood soured instantly. Letting go of Jungkook's wrist, he dragged him toward the car, ordering,

"Get in."

Jungkook froze. Get in the car? What if someone from home saw him? His face was already pale from the pain, his usually fair complexion drained of color. Now, the thought of following Taehyung's command made his heart race even faster. The fear of his family was nothing compared to Taehyung's terrifying temper. When he was angry, he didn't hold back on slapping someone around. That's why Jungkook had always dreaded visiting Kim's Haven, going there with his heart pounding. Now, here was the man himself, and the situation was all too real. Swallowing hard, Jungkook mumbled,

"I need to go home, Taehyungie hyung. Otherwise, dad will scold me."

"And I'll drown you in the pond behind your own house until you stop breathing and won't budge until you're lifeless." Taehyung hissed through his teeth.

Before he could take another breath, Jungkook bolted into the car, almost tripping as he threw himself inside. In his haste, he tumbled onto the seat, his face smacking against the side. His nose stung from the impact. His heart was pounding so loudly, he could hear it. Sitting up straight, he quickly composed himself, but the embarrassment was overwhelming. Taehyung slid into the seat beside him and said,
