The day was Friday. Several prominent politicians had gathered at an event to raise awareness about child marriage. Among the attendees were Taehyung and Jackson, the latter representing the opposition party. They were seated side by side.

During his speech, Jackson suddenly paused and, with a sly smile, said, "Today, we are all delivering such moral lectures against child marriage. But I have a question—are you aware that our newly-elected Minister, Kim Taehyung, himself was involved in a child marriage? If even Ministers behave like this, then what’s the point of these empty speeches? I would like Taehyung to clarify this matter for us."

The crowd stirred immediately. Murmurs, whispers, and loud discussions erupted at Jackson’s words. Questions and allegations flew across the room. A member of the opposition even stood up, shouting,

"How can someone who secretly got married to a minor have the audacity to stand here and preach against child marriage? A Minister like that has no right to hold this position. We don’t need a Minister like him!"

Several others began to echo the sentiment. It was an opportune moment for Jackson and his allies, one they didn’t want to miss. Finally, the previously serene environment dissolved into chaos as a heated political clash took over an event that had originally been about a good cause.

Jackson turned to Taehyung, his lips curling into a subtle smile. Adding fuel to the fire, he said, "Do you have anything to say about this, Mr. Minister?"

Taehyung sat still, his gaze fixed downward. His expression was unreadable. Was it shame that made him lower his head? Jackson thought so, and a wave of satisfaction swept through him. But his victory was short-lived.

Taehyung slowly rose from his seat. Rolling up his sleeves, he stepped forward, fire blazing in his eyes. Jackson remained unfazed, being in politics meant growing immune to challenges like these. Taehyung stood inches away and smirked before whispering,

"Before going to war, a king or prince learns how to wield his sword. Only fools rush into battle unprepared. If you want to fight, Jackson Wang, you should come equipped with facts. The modeling world suits you far better than politics because a seat like mine doesn’t tolerate idiocy. That’s why you couldn’t win it. Bad luck, dear friend."

Jackson’s eyes flashed red with anger, but he refused to show weakness. Their glares clashed like swords, yet Taehyung only smiled mockingly, raising a brow as he walked past to the microphone.

The room fell silent as Taehyung’s baritone voice echoed,

"My wife, Kim Jungkook isn't under 18. Feel free to check his birth certificate if you like. The marriage happened suddenly, and we couldn’t inform everyone. Since it was a love marriage, things moved quickly. You would have all known about it in just two days—our wedding ceremony was already planned. However, Jackson was kind enough to bring it up early, so I appreciate him. Now, you all know. Honestly, I was feeling shy about announcing about my marriage myself, so Jackson has done me a huge favor. Thank you so much, Jackson. You are a true friend!"

He flashed a cheerful smile at Jackson as the audience erupted in applause, clapping and laughing along with Taehyung’s witty handling of the situation. Meanwhile, Jackson stood frozen, seething with rage. As Taehyung passed him on his way back, he muttered under his breath,

"It really was embarrassing for me to admit I got married. But finally, you’ve done something good for me, Jackson. My heart feels at peace now. I’ll treat you after this event in celebration."

Jackson gritted his teeth in frustration but realized any protest now would only dig a deeper hole. Taking the microphone, he said stiffly,

"My apologies. I seem to have misunderstood the situation. I didn’t intend to create any conflict here. I simply wanted to clarify what I thought was true for the sake of society."
