Chapter 14;

Eric p.o.v

I walked out of the flat at 12.30pm. I grabbed by jacket and got into my car. I just sat there for what felt like an eternity - in reality it was only 10 minutes. I knew where I would be going - JSons. He had told me I was welcome anytime, so I decided to pay him a visit.

Half an hour later, I was knocking on his front door. "Bro, you ok?" he greeted me, motioning for me to come in.

"Ehhm, I think so." I replied, following him to his living room.

"Drink?" he asked.

"Nej, I'm good tack." I replied.

"Cool ... Fifa then?" he smiled. He knew me so well. He handed me a controller as we sat down, him loading up the game.

We played fifa for hours. He asked me what I was doing about Jess, and I told him the truth. "I've forgiven her. It wasn't her, it was the alcohol."

"Wow, really?" he asked, a shocked look on his face.

"Yeah, man. I love her."

With that, we carried on playing. It got to about 7pm, and we were both hungry, so we ordered a pizza and had a few beers. All through the day, I hadn't been able to stop thinking about Jess and what she would be doing.

The main reason I had left my phone at home was so that I wouldn't give in and call her, probably making this harder on both of us. I knew she would think it was so she couldn't contact me, but I knew we both needed some space, even if she didn't want to admit it.

I fell asleep on JSon's sofa at around half 10, after only getting an hours sleep last night. The last thing I vaugely remember is hearing him on the phone before I fell completly asleep.

Jess p.o.v.

I was woken by my phone ringing at 10.50. I looked at the id and saw it was JSon. I wasn't sure I had the energy to talk to him, so I awnsered to tell him I'd talk to him later.

"J, I'll call you later. I'm not in the-"

"It's Eric." my heart sunk, had he been hurt? "He's fine, he's been here since lunchtime." he assured me.

"Oh thank god." I sighed in relief. "Is he coming home?"

"I doubt it - he's fast asleep on my sofa. I think he should stay here tonight and get some sleep. I'll make sure he's fine, ok?"

I had never heard JSon so concerend before, but then again him and Eric were like brothers, so I wasn't too surprised.

"Yeah, thank you. D-did he say anything?" I asked, wondering and slightly scared for the awnser.

"Only that he's forgiven you and that he still loves you." he paused, "He really does, you know." The relief that went through me was immense. I wasn't sure if Eric had lied to me when he said he would come back to me, but I knew he would never lie to JSon.

"Tell him I do too?" I asked him. I knew he would know what I meant.

"'Course," he awnsered. "I have to go, I think he might be up. Bye, Jess."

"Thank you. Bye, J." I awnsered, hanging up.

Eric p.o.v.

I woke just after 9am the next morning. I was stiff and aching after sleeping on a sofa for a second night, but otherwise felt fine. I stretched and saw a note fall on the floor. I picked it up and read it.

"E, I had to leave for work early and couldn't wake you - you lazy sod! I would have text you but yeah. See ya soon, Bro."

I vaguely remember him shoving me earlier, but I had ignored him. I got up, stretched and walked to the kichen. I got myself a water, rinsed the glass and put it on the drying rack when I had finished. I then folded the blanket I had used last night and put it on the arm of the sofa.

I then grabbed my keys and left, just after 9.30 am. I knew I had to go and face Jess, so I got into the car and drove (in no rush) back to the flat.
