Mia leaned her elbows on the cold, marble railing of Damian's balcony, her eyes glued to the shimmering expanse above. "You know, Gotham's sky isn't as bad as people say. Sure, there's the smog and the light pollution, but if you squint, you can still see the stars."

Damian sat beside her on the ledge, a sketchbook in his lap and a pencil poised in his hand. His brows furrowed in concentration as he traced the faint outline of a constellation, occasionally glancing upward. "The stars are visible because Father funds projects that reduce light pollution in the city."

Mia snorted. "Of course he does. Is there anything the man can't do?"

"He cannot relax," Damian muttered, tilting his head as he added details to his sketch.

Mia peered over his shoulder. "Ohhh, you're drawing them! Which constellation is that?"

"The Dragon." Damian shifted slightly to give her a better view. "Draco. It reminds me of Goliath."

"Goliath? Your giant demon bat-dragon-thingy?" Maps asked, grinning

"He's a Man-Bat hybrid, not a thing."

Mia grinned wider. "You're right, he's way cooler than a thing. Maybe next time, bring him up here. Me, you, and Goliath stargazing together."

Damian finally put his pencil down and turned to her, one brow raised. "I think he would take up the entire balcony and block the view."

Mis shrugged. "Worth it."

They both fell silent for a moment, the cool night breeze brushing against their faces. Mia leaned back against the railing and closed her eyes. "You know, when I was a kid, I used to climb onto my roof with my telescope and pretend I was mapping out new constellations. I'd give them names like... Maps Major or the Cartographer's Crown."

Damian allowed a small smile to tug at the corners of his lips. "Fitting."

"What about you?" Mia asked, opening one eye to look at him. "Did you ever stargaze in... wherever it is you grew up? Like, did the League of Assassins have a secret rooftop for stargazing or something?"

Damian's expression softened. "The skies in Nanda Parbat were clearer. No smog. No light pollution. I spent many nights studying the stars with Ravi."

"Who's that? Your babysitter?" Mia tilted her head.

"Caretaker," Damian corrected, his tone clipped but not unkind. "Ravi taught me many things-painting, the stars, discipline. He's blind now, but he sees the universe more vividly than anyone I've ever known."

Mia's eyes widened. "Whoa, blind and into astronomy? That's, like, next-level impressive."

"He memorized the constellations and their positions long before I..." Damian paused, the pencil he'd been twirling in his hand stilling for a moment. "Before he lost his sight," he continued. "He'd guide me with his voice. Describe the stories behind the stars. I owe much of my understanding about the heavens to him."
