Chapter 10: Chi

Chapter 10 is here~ I don't own cardfight vanguard~

Two updates of this story today just cause I couldn't resist posting this chappy >~<

I'm such a sadist in the upcoming chapters *laughs evilly*

The blue haired boy let out a sigh as he put down his fork onto his plate.

"I'm full so I'm going to go back to bed....."

Aichi whispered softly as he left the table and headed up the stairs, the brunette glanced worriedly over towards the plate of half eaten food.

"Maybe talk of how far behind in school he is made him lose his appetite....."

The peach haired girl replied as she snatched some of the sashimi off of her brother's plate.

"Maybe...."

The brunette murmured as he finished off his plate and followed after the boy, for he was concerned about him.

Without knocking, Kai entered the younger boy's room, only to see that the boy had his back to him while changing his shirt, jades winced slightly when the older noticed a slightly jagged slash that ran from the boy's left shoulder blade down to his right hip.

The skin around the injury seemed quite irritated making the older wonder why after a few months hadn't the injury healed.

"Aichi"

Hearing his name, the boy jumped in surprise before fixing his shirt and turning around to greet the older.

"Don't sneak up on me.... You scared me...."

The blue haired boy let out a sigh, Kai smiled a little despite the worry he was currently feeling towards the boy.

"Sorry...... Anyway, are you seriously going to sleep again?"

Emphasis was placed on again for the older felt as if the boy was truly sleeping his life away. Aichi smiled gingerly before nodding.

"Yeah....... I've been feeling tired....."

The smaller boy replied softly as he went over towards his bed and burrowed under the blankets.

Kai let out a sigh as he looked at the clock, it read 9pm, he was grateful that at least it wasn't too early to head to bed. He decided to crawl into bed with the younger, wanting to be by the fragile boy's side, even if he didn't fall asleep he could still think.

After a while the younger boy ended up nuzzling into the brunette, the boy felt oddly warm, yet at the same time, the warmth was quite comforting.

As the older laid in bed with the younger, he learned a few things about Aichi. The boy didn't used to move around in his sleep, however now that same boy was actually moving quite a bit in his sleep, sometimes even jabbing the brunette in the ribs with his foot. (Poor Kai is being beat up by Aichi what are le odds?)

Another few things that Kai noticed being different about the boy that he occasionally mumbled in his sleep now, not anything that could be understood anyway.

A few hours of this and the brunette was feeling a little too warm under the blanket with the younger, he felt wetness on his shirt and guessed that he was sweating due to the heat so he carefully moved so that he was on top of his share of the blanket, however it seemed quite strange to him that when he laid down, the blanket was already quite damp, it was quite odd indeed for the brunette wasn't one to sweat a lot and neither was the younger.

"Hurts......"

Aichi whispered softly in his sleep as he once again rolled over, sighing Kai got up fully off the bed and turned on the lights.

When the older looked towards the younger his blood ran cold, it wasn't sweat that had dampened the blankets. it was blood.

"Aichi!"

Kai quickly ran over towards the boy and pulled the blanket off of his love, only to feel shock sweep through his entire being. his love was laying in a pool of blood, probably for hours until he had finally noticed something was wrong.

"Kai?...."

Aichi whispered softly as sapphires slowly blinked open and the boy sat up, only to clutch his chest in pain and wince.

"Aichi what happened?...... you're bleeding......"

The brunette asked softly, his panic level lowering when he realized that the boy was bleeding slowly and not uncontrollably.

Confusion filled sapphires as the boy looked into jades, then understanding took over when the boy noticed the large blood stain on the brunette's shirt.

"I guess one of my injuries may have opened up again in my sleep....."

Aichi whispered as his gaze swept across his blood stained bed. The brunette felt a little relieved that it wasn't from the boy silently coughing up blood or something. Yet he still harboured some concern for the boy had said injuries and again.

"This has happened before?....."

Kai whispered as he moved the soiled bedding off of the bed, the blue haired boy nodded slowly, his hand still clutched to his chest.

"Yeah..... I mush have moved around too much in my sleep...... I'm sorry for worrying you"

The younger boy whispered, pain was laced faintly within his voice.

"It's fine....... it scared me at first, anyway I'm going to fetch the first aid kit...."

Kai replied as he left the slowly bleeding boy to head into the hallway and grab the first aid kit, thankfully without running into Shizuka or Emi for it would have been hard to explain why exactly he was covered in blood.

With the first aid kit in hand, Kai returned to the blue haired boy's room, Aichi in the meantime had relocated himself to the floor.

"Can you take off your shirt so I can fix you up?"

Kai asked softly as he crouched down next to the younger boy.

"...... I'd rather do it myself with you sitting in the hallway Kai...."

Aichi murmured in response as his sapphire gaze flickered towards the floor.

"Aichi I'll be fine seeing your injuries..... I guess that's why you showered with your shirt on?"

The brunette inquired, suddenly the younger boy's previous behaviour seemed to make sense to him.

"Yeah...... And I'm good at stopping blood now..... Especially since I have bandages instead of moss"

The brunette frowned slightly and shook his head, motioning for the boy to remove his shirt. Aichi sighed and slowly removed his blood stained shirt.

Kai couldn't help but to let out a surprised gasp when he saw the smaller boy's chest, meanwhile sapphires were avoiding contact with jades.

"Oh my god Aichi...."

Me: the title is called chi cause chi means blood in Japanese~

Miwa: I see..... If you named chapter blood then it would put people on edge

Me: yep~ that's why I named it chi and made a evil cliff hanger~

Miwa: so cruel....

Me: hehe thanks~

Kai: ..... I should have noticed sooner...

Aichi: Kai.......

Me: hehe anyway hope ya people enjoyed le chappy~
