Daniel arrived at exactly the same time that the clock declared it was one o'clock in the afternoon. Joey's eyes dilated when he heard the knock on the door, certain it wasn't the mailman again.
He scanned the downstairs of the house. Everything seemed perfect. He had forced David to go out for the day, so there would be no interruptions. Even though they were supposed to be rehearsing Joey hoped that the day would take a very different turn.
Joey ran to a mirror and quickly fixed his hair for the thousandth time today before answering the door.
"Hi! You're right on time" Joey beamed happily.
"Oh, uh, am I?"
Joey laughed. "Come on in."
They spent hours together - and a considerable amount of that time not rehearsing. They talked about each other and found they had a lot of similar interests. Including a love for anime, which lead to them watching this new anime that Daniel kept talking about. They played with Wolf, who took an instant shinning to Daniel. Daniel looked so cute playing with Wolf, Joey literally couldn't stop smiling. They got dinner too. It had gotten really late into the evening and several bottles of wine were scattered around the living room. Joey moved closer to Daniel on the couch.
"You know," he whispered, almost seductively. "There's one scene we haven't rehearsed."
"Funny," Daniel replied, slurring slightly on his words. "That's the scene I wanted to rehearse the most."
Joey placed his wine glass down and turned to Daniel, who then placed a soft hand on the side of Joey's face and kissed him. And Joey kissed back.
It felt so right, Joey thought, being in Daniel's embrace. It felt like the kiss had lasted forever, but when it ended a cold realisation hit Joey: they were acting, Daniel was acting. Boy, he is one good actor. However, as Joey looked at Daniel's, he felt as though Daniel felt the same way. He looked the way Joey felt. Then a sudden, but very different, realisation hit Daniel as well and he exclaimed "ihavetogoimsorry!" and he left.
Just like that.
