Shepard POV

"Are you fucking serious??" I asked. These dickbags are asking me to go kill some guy for them again! I just got back from being dead, I'm not doing anything!!
"Shepard, its a simple task, its really not that-"
"I don't have time for shit." I mumbled.
Joker chuckled and cut the communication with them.
"You alright Commander?" he asked, I leaned against the wall behind him.
"I'm fine, just I don't know why they would ask me to do their dirty work right after I got killed for the second time."
"Well, in my opinion, if I wasn't stuck in this chair, I would do it. It might help you blow off some steam." He said turning around. Maybe he was right, maybe I needed to ease the stress of all the PTSD shit going on.
"Yeah...." I sighed.
"Joker, call them back."
"Aye Aye Commander, patching them through"

They popped up again.
"Change your mind?"
"Fine, I'll do your dirty work this time."
"That's great Shepard, Head to Century in Klendagon and find a man named Qing Jun. He is wanted for the murder of alot of people."
"Alright." I said as the communications were cut.
"Joker, set a course for Century,Klendagon"
"Aye Aye Commander"
I walked over to where Kaidan and Garrus were standing.
"Vakarian, Alenko, you're coming with me. We've gotta arrest Qing Jun for the Alliance." I ordered. They both saluted and walked away to get their guns.

"You move, I blow your brains out" I said pointing the gun at his head. He held his hands up.

"Look, I swear, I'm really a good guy. There's no need to shoot me" Qing said.

"You're wanted for the murder of alot of important people." Kaidan said aiming at him.

"Look, just put you're gun down and I'll explain" he said. I thought for a second. He might try to escape. I should keep him at gun point. If he even steps an inch away, and tries to escape, I'll end him.

"Fine, but you try to escape and one of my bullets will go through straight into your skull" I said lowering my gun and signaling Garrus and Kaidan to do the same.

Garrus POV

Qing started talking about how he was innocent and how he was just trying to protect his friends. I didn't believe him one bit. I had my gun ready to shoot him on Shepard's command. I didn't know what the hell this asshole is trying to do, but if he hurts my Shepard, I won't hesitate to shoot him.

"What are you going on about, Jun?

"Well you see Commander, my friends were gonna die if I didn't kill those people. I'm sure you know where I'm coming from, since your friends are dead. But you see I actually saved my friends."

Shepard froze up. Her PTSD was kicking in because of this asshole. If he kept this up she would have a breakdown.

"Shepard, come on, forget this loser, we can find him again later" I said putting my hand on her shoulder.

"I'm fine Garrus" she said. I needed to get her out of here before this jerkoff says anymore.

"Yeah, that's right Shepard. I know that you let all your friends down and got them killed. You survived all this shit but them...they weren't so lucky. You survived and let them die. Its all your fault that they're dead. All of their families are mourning the loss of their loved ones because YOU, Commander Shepard, let them DIE. You were supposed to protect them but you didn't. They're DEAD now, because of YOU. You failed them and now they will NEVER come back. You failed your duties and got them killed!!"

"You're lying, I did my best." Shepard said, her voice shaking. I grabbed her arm but she yanked away. She was going to crack and I needed to get her out of here.

"You're weak Shepard. Its because bof your weakness that everyone you LOVE is DEAD."

Shepard fell to the ground, head in hands. Kaidan went to shoot Qing, but Qing pulled a counter attack and pulled a gun out shooting him in the chest. Kaidan fell to the ground unconscious. I shot Qing Jun in the head automatically killing him. I ran to Shepard's side.

"They died because of me. Its all my fault!!" she cried. I need to get them both to Dr. Chakwas immediately.

"No, you tried everything you could. No one blames you for anything. Right now, we need to get you and Kaidan to Chakwas right now." I said slinging Kaidan over my shoulder and picking Shepard up bridal style. Shepard was still shaking and tears were streaming down her face.

"I'm sorry everyone. I'm so so sorry for failing everyone." She whispered under her breath.

"Shepard, sweetheart you haven't failed anyone. He got to your head. You did everything you could to do your duties." I said soothing her.

~~~~Outside Dr. Chakwas office~~~~~

I held Shepard in my arms as we sat in wait for the news about Kaidan. Shepard was over what Qing had said and was majorly upset about Kaidan. She had been close to him for awhile and I can't imagine what she would do if he died.

"Garrus."
"Yes?"
"....Thank you"
"For what Shepard?"
"For being here through this"
"Shepard you know, that no matter what I'll be here" I said pushing her hair out of her face.
"You know for a turian with no social skills, you're making me feel a hell of alot better" she said with a weak smile. I chuckled softly.
"Yes, I guess you're right" I said.

Dr. Chakwas walked out of her office looking extremely upset. That look can't be good. I'm sure this didn't mean good news.

"What's the news, Doc? Will Kaidan be okay?" Tali asked with hope.

"I-I couldn't save him.......The bullet punctured his lung and I stopped the the bleeding, but not before his heart stopped. Kaidan Alenko....is....gone." Chakwas said with her head down. Shepard buried her face into my chest and cried. She let everything out and cried her eyes out.

"Ssh, it's alright. I'm here. Its okay." I soothed her. I ran my hand through her hair. I held her tight and let her cry. Everyone gathered around Shepard and lowered their heads.

Liara put her hand on Shepard's shoulder.

"He will never be forgotten, Shepard. He's was an amazing friend and a great colleague" she said. Shepard looked at Liara, her face stained with tears. She wiped her face and cleared her throat.

"I have to inform the rest of the crew" she said walking away.

"Do you want me to come with you?" I asked following her.

"I'll be fine, Garrus." She said offering a small smile. She walked out of the room. I understood that she wanted to be alone through all of this but I was worried about her. She was going through alot and I wanted to be there for her.

The intercom came on a few minutes after she left.

"Everyone, I have tragic news. Officer Kaidan Alenko has passed. I'm giving everyone a little while to process this and we'll be putting his name on the Memorial wall tomorrow night. Carry on." Shepard announced.

I walked to her cabin and sat on her bed. I felt bad for her, just coming back after 2 weeks of being dead. Not everyone knows she's alive yet and now she has to deal with the death of one of her closest friends. I knew she wanted to be left alone but I just couldn't leave her alone at a time like this. She walked into her cabin and walked over to me without a word.

"I know you want to be left alone, Shepard but I just can't leave you alone during this. I understand how important he was, is to you." I said repeating my thoughts. She just shook her head and layed down on the bed. I layed down beside her and I wrapped my arms around her. She buried her face into my chest and silently weeped. I didn't say anything, I just held her. We ended up falling asleep like that.
