Chapter 12

Shepard's POV

I punched her in the stomach.

"Ah!! Keelah, Shepard what the he was that for!?!?!?" Tali screamed.

"Woah! Commander, what was that for??" Adams asked walking over to us.

"Carry On" I said turning around and walking out.

Garrus's POV

"So you want to buy her a ring just because??" My dad asked, confused.

"Yes, look I understand how weird it sounds but according to the other women aboard, its a sign of affection. A tradition, I guess to buy a woman an anniversary ring if you've been with her for a year." I explained.

"Haven't you and Shepard been together for 2 years?" He asked, still confused.

"Yes, that's why the other women are telling me to get her one. I mean, it could be an apology sort of thing as well" I said looking at more anniversary rings.

My dad went silent.

I looked at him.

"Dad?"

"I'm here." He said.

"What's the matter?" I asked.

"Nothing, I believe I might be able to help you out though."

"Dad, these prices are insane, I don't think-

"Not money, look, I'll have your sister head to the Citadel and bring it to you." He said interrupting me.

"Alright Dad, I'll talk to Shepard about heading to the Citadel" I said.

He nodded.

"I'll talk to you later Garrus" He said.

"Alright, thanks Dad" I said hanging up.

I wonder what he was gonna have my sister take to me.

Hey, at least I'll be able to see her again. I haven't seen her since after the war.

"Hello Vakarian." Shepard said behind me making me jump.

"Jeez Shepard, you scared me. What can I help you with?" I asked hiding the ring research.

"Jack told me everything." She said taking a step closer.

I tilted my head in confusion.

"I-I don't understand what you're talking about, Shepard." I said truthfully.

"You know exactly what I mean. Jack told me what you and Tali did when we were fighting." Shepard said leaning beside me.

I froze up.

"Um, so Jack told you about that?" I asked.

She seemed calmer then I was when she cheated. She looked at the ground for a second then looked up at me with disappointment in her eyes.

"Out of all the things you could've done......you sleep with Tali." she said.

"Shepard.."

"Look, I get it...just......don't even try to explain." Shepard said closing her eyes and looking down.

"Shepard....please, I know you're hurt by this but-

"Its my fault in the first place." Shepard said quietly.

I shook my head.

"Just because you cheated in the first place did not give me the right to sleep with Tali." I said stepping towards her.

"No...it didn't....but I'll just let you get back to calibrations" Shepard said heading for the door.

No, I am not going through all this emotionally dramatic crap again. I am tired of fighting.

I grabbed her wrist.

"No, I am not going through all this emotional fighting crap again. I'm sorry Shepard. I shouldn't have slept with her but you know what, you shouldn't have slept with Alenko. Both of us regret sleeping with the someone other than each other. Although, both of us apologized. Tali and I regretted it as soon as we regained control of our actions. What happened was basically the same thing that you and Kaidan did but I was angry with you. Both you and I made mistakes, but that does not stop you from always being the love of my life and the most important thing on my mind. So, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to just drop all of this cheating shit and go back to being the happy, cross-species couple that we are." I said pulling her back towards me.

She hugged me tightly. I did the same but making sure I didn't crush her.

"I'm sorry, Garrus." She said into my chest.

"Don't be. We both made mistakes, but its in the past now. As I said, you'll never stop being the girl I fell in love with." I said holding her closer.

"That's exactly why I chose you." She said.

We both stood there in each other's arms for a while.

Liara cleared her throat at the door.

Shepard and I looked over at her.

"Would you mind explaining why Tali is in Dr. Chakwas' office complaining that a certain Commander punched her in the stomach and left without an explanation" Liara said crossing her arms.

"You punched Tali in the stomach?" I asked Shepard.

"Hehe, yeah. Forgot to mention that. I-I'll go apologize" she said chuckling nervously.

"Yeah, I think that's a good idea." Liara said.

"One problem, how exactly would I sound going up to her a few minutes after I punched her and apologising??" Shepard asked.

"You'll sound like the Commander we all know and love" Liara said chuckling.

Shepard laughed and shook her head.

"Alright, I'll be back" Shepard said taking a deep breath and leaving the Main Battery.

Liara and I exchanged looks and nodded.

We followed Shepard and leaned against the wall beside the Med Bay.

Shepard stepped into the Med Bay and Tali looked over at her.

"You should be alright, no suit ruptures." Chakwas said.

Tali nodded and headed towards Shepard. Uh oh.

"Hey, Tali. Look I'm gonna apologize but I'm letting you know this, I understand that you both were drunk off your asses but that gave neither of you the right to go off and screw either. I'm sorry for punching you in the stomach but let this be a lesson to you and all other girls and guys listening, which I know they are because Joker always records talks like these to show people when they say that their team is better than ours, and he decides to show everyone on board. Don't mess with Commander Shepard's love life." Shepard told her.

Shepard turned around, grabbed my suit, kissed me roughly then left.

"What just happened?" James asked leaning against the wall.

"I think Shepard just apologized and then threatened me." Tali said.

Chakwas chuckled.

"That's the way she works, I guess" she said returning to her work.

Liara shrugged and went back to her office and Tali went back down to Engineering so I just went up to talk to Joker about swinging by the Citadel.

Sorry that this chapter is a little short and boring, I haven't been thinking of good ideas yet and schools been preventing me from thinking of some. I promise they won't stay boring.
