Sorry I didn't make a New Years Chapter, everything got really hectic and I didn't have time to start one so this chapter takes place in mid January because I don't want to write a New Years story and it not be New Years, sorry. But anyways Enjoy!

Shepard's POV

I signaled Garrus and Liara to move ahead of me so I could cover us from the back.

There was a gan and I had to take them down. Starting with the leader.

"Commander, I have him in my sights." Liara said walking over from her position.

"Alright, Garrus? Do you have a clear shot from up here?"

"Of course."

"Good. Liara, you and I will go down there and do some interrogation. Garrus, if he starts anything.."

"Right between the eyes." He said.

I pecked him on the mandible and headed towards the dude.

"So this guys name is???"

"Jeremiah Jones"

That name sounds so familiar....I shrugged, whatever.

"There he is" Liara said pointing at a man in a black suit in the corner of the room.

"Wow, someone's trying to look all suspicious" I mumbled as we approached him.

Liara elbowed my side as the men he was talking to walked away.

"Excuse me, Mr. Jones." She asked clearing her throat.

He turned around and his eyes glued to mine in shock.

"Commander Shepard. Alliance Navy. I'd like to speak with you for a minute." I said ignoring his look.

"I'm sorry, do I know you?" He asked.

"Uh...maybe. I've been on the news, if that's what you mean."

"Not in the good way, though" Liara mumbled.

I shot her a look and she shrugged.

"No, I feel like I've seen you before, personally." He said not taking his eyes off of me.

This dude was starting to creep me out.

"Could I talk to you in private?" He asked glancing around.

"Umm, well, you see. Liara and I had to have the "stranger danger" talk many times before and I'd rather not have to hear that lecture again, Thanks" I said stepping closer to Liara.

"She can come to, Its just, I'd rather be out of the public so I can see if you're the person I think you are while the whole place doesn't." He said motioning to the people around us.

Liara and I exchanged glances.

"Excuse me a moment." I said walking out of earshot.

"Sweetheart, I don't like the look he's giving you." Garrus said into the com unit.

"He wants to talk away from the public, Is there any place around us that where you can still see us??" I asked.

He was silent for a moment.

"There's an area to your left that's secluded where I still have a clear shot. But Shepard, be careful" he answered.

"I will" I replied before walking back over to Liara and Jeremiah.

"Sorry about that, boyfriend keeps bugging me, there's an area over there where we can talk if you'd like?" I explained though I doubt he heard me as his eyes were still scanning me up and down.
