A cold wave of fear washed over me. Without wasting another second, I stepped out of the elevator, my legs moving on their own. My heart pounded louder with every step I took, my eyes fixed on Nalini Bua.

"Bua!" I called out again, desperation lacing my voice as I knelt on the ground, my tears falling uncontrollably.

Nalini Bua looked down at me, her own eyes filled with sorrow. "Avni... he’s fighting, but the doctors don’t think he will survive this. They’re doing everything they can," she said, her voice trembling.

My chest tightened painfully. How could this happen? After everything he had done to me, after all the anger and hatred I had built up, how could he just slip away like this? He couldn’t. Not like this I fell to the ground.

"Avni...," just then I heard Avivansh’s voice from the background, He ran ti me clutching his arms as he crouched beside me. I stared at him did he knew about this that is why left from there. " This isn’t happening, right? Tell me this isn’t happening. He can’t—he can’t just leave like this. I need answers. I need to tell him—everything." My words spilled out, choked by sobs.

"Aana," he said gently, pulling me closer. His hands cradled my face, forcing me to meet his steady gaze. "Calm down please." I can’t stop breaking in to cries. He hugged me tightly

"Vansh," I choked out, my voice breaking, "how could he do this? How could he leave me with all this hate? He can’t leave me like this. I need to tell him how much he hurt me. I need—" My words dissolved into tears as I leaned into him.

"I know," he whispered, pressing a kiss to my temple.

"Avni, please calm down you have to be strong at this moment." Nalini bua said. "I know you will never forgive him, but right now he needs it he needs his family."

I nodded, wiping my tears hastily. My hands trembled as I stood with his help, my legs feeling like they could give out at any moment.

I swallowed hard, gathering every ounce of courage as I entered the room. My heart pounded in my chest as I stood by his bedside, my fingers curling into fists at my sides.

"Avni...," came Vansh’s soft voice again as he stood behind me, his guilt evident in the way he avoided my gaze. I turned to him, my chest rising and falling with the weight of my emotions.
