Not all marriages are perfect or dreamy, but being with the right person can certainly feel like it. It's a quiet beauty-knowing you have someone to come home to, someone who feels like home. A person who lights up the darkest corners of your world with their own radiant presence. Someone who always manages to bring out the best in you.

With that person, even the smallest moments feel special. They heal parts of you that they never broke, simply by being there. For me, that person is my wife-my Aana.

Our wedding may not have been like most; it wasn't what you'd call traditional. We were bound by destiny, but we stayed together by choice. Avni isn't just my wife. She's my everything-my lover, my friend, my perfect companion.

There's a saying that "home is not a place, but a person." For me, Avni is my home. She brightens my world with her presence, and with her, I find joy in even the simplest of things. We love doing little things together, finding fun in every shared moment.

Like today-our third wedding anniversary. We're keeping up a tradition Avni started on our second anniversary. Together, we bake a cake, and later, we'll enjoy it under the stars on our terrace. It's these moments, these small traditions, that make our love so beautiful.

If anyone had told twenty-eight-year-old Avivansh that the girl he caught himself staring at in his garden-the girl who made his heart race the very first time he saw her-would eventually be his wife, I wouldn't have believed it. And I certainly wouldn't have believed them if they'd said I'd be standing here, in our kitchen, baking a cake with her on our third wedding anniversary.

Yet, here we are. How did I get so lucky?

"No, you're supposed to stir it gently and make sure there are no lumps!" Avni scolded, her tone firm but playful. Who knew that Avivansh Pratap Singh would be learning to bake a cake from his wife? On their anniversary, no less.

"I'm doing exactly what you told me," I said, pretending to focus on the batter, though I couldn't take my eyes off her.

The first year we celebrated in Paris, our honeymoon, and the second year, we explored the serene beauty of Northeast India-one of Avni's bucket list destinations.

This year was supposed to be special too; we'd planned a trip to Greece. But a few days before our anniversary, Avni had fallen sick. The dizziness, the sudden nauseous feeling in the morning... it was all a huge concern for me. One morning, as we sat for breakfast, she barely managed a bite before rushing to the bathroom to throw up.
