The next morning, we all got up to get ready for school and work. Chris and I drove together since we didn't want to take any chances I would feel a practice contraction on my way to work and get into an accident. I sat down at my computer and logged in to my e-mails. Steph had sent me an update about Sebastian.

I hadn't heard anything from Steph or Ignis about anything for the next few weeks. It was early December; I was now in week thirty-three and nearing Celia's projected due date. I was starting to experience extreme back pain and entering limbo was getting harder. Out of my own boredom with no updates about anything to do at work I leaned back in my chair, closed my eyes, and felt the baby moving quite a bit. Aria walked in on me leaning back in my chair.

"That doesn't hurt?" Aria said. "I'm glad I always wanted to adopt kids – vampire or not. I don't know that I could deal with that."

"I suppose it's not as bad as it looks. What's up?"

"Not much... I just wanted to tell you that Ella and Bee are doing okay."

"Are they still not talking to Odie?"

"They're talking, but, I guess, Mom to Mom-figure I just wanted to talk to you. Ella was furious at her mother and after she got over her anger, she was upset that it got to that point."

"What did she feel about Odie attacking her father?"

"She was upset, but she was more upset at what they said about her and Bee."

"Is she ever going to talk to them?"

"Her parents? I keep encouraging both of them to not hold in their feelings, but I don't know if talking would help them honestly. The Shrutes are nasty people who had two of the nicest kids... I don't want my kids hurt more because those assholes say the wrong thing." I nodded and smiled at her. "What?"

"You called them your kids."

"It's still taking some getting used to, honestly. They don't call me 'Mom' – they just call Ray and me by our names. I don't know if I want them to call me Mom though. I just want them to know that I really care for them and they can come to me for anything."
