I could see a sliver of the sun coming up and hear alarms starting to go off as Chris kissed my back and laid down. I stretched my arms under one of the pillows and placed my head on it as I laid down on my stomach next to him. He ran his hand down my back, sending every nerve in overdrive. I felt a breeze from the window across my naked and exposed body. Chris smiled at me.

"What?" I asked, looking at him.

"It's been a while since you spent a night in my bed. That was nice."

"It was more than nice, but I guess you can call it that." I heard the door to my bedroom open as Val headed downstairs. I heard the sound of the coffee maker start and her footsteps in the living room.

"What the fuck, guys..." she said to herself. I put my hand on my face as I remembered that my shirt and Chris' belt were still downstairs.

"What?" Chris said.

"Val found my shirt downstairs..." I pulled the sheets up over us. "Three... two... one." Val opened the door, walked in, and closed it behind her.

"Guys!" she started. "The kids are too old for you to do this. Odie knows what this means," she said with my shirt and Chris' belt in her hand.

"I know, I know, I know," I started. "I'm sorry." I was trying not to laugh.

"Liz, this isn't funny!" Val was trying not to laugh herself as Chris covered his face with a pillow, muffling his laugh. "The kids could've..." I pulled her into the bed, in between us as we laughed. "Why are you two laughing?" she said.

"I think Chris and I are high off each other's emotions..." I took a few deep breaths, trying to get myself to stop. "I'm sorry. Truly. But we had to watch you and Zane fuck for hours, do you blame us?"

"No, I don't," she said, finally not laughing. "But in the living room!?"

"Oh, please," Chris said, uncovering his face. "The kids wouldn't be able to leave their bedrooms if we were worried about them being in places we haven't fucked..."

"Nothing important happened down there, Val. Don't worry. The kids are safe." I started laughing again and took a few deep breaths to calm myself. I put my arm around her, taking in her scent. She pulled my arm off and slid off the bed.

"Okay, I'm getting breakfast ready for the kids. When you two decide you've had enough, you have to go back to work."

"Ugh, don't remind me. I can't imagine how many e-mails I'm going to have!" I covered my face with the pillow as I laid on my back. Chris put his hand on my stomach.

"Come on, Madame Magister! Time to go to work!" he said, pulling on my hip. I groaned loudly as I ran full speed to my bedroom before the kids saw me.

I groaned as I put on a button-down shirt and slacks. Anna would be upset with me if I wasn't wearing the 'proper clothes' for a Magister. I tucked the shirt in and headed downstairs after running my fingers through my hair. As I walked down the stairs, Val poured a cup of coffee for me. I sipped it and took a deep breath. Zane came downstairs in his button down and jeans with his hair tied back in a low bun and grabbed a cup of coffee for himself. I stared at him for a few seconds as he took a sip.

"What? Did I miss a hair or something?" he said, grabbing at his hair.

"Yeah... On your face," Chris said.

"I'm sorry. We've been away from home for a while, and I didn't have a chance to shave," he said, rubbing his chin. Val grabbed his chin and looked for a second.
