"Leave him alone!" Jin yelled, his voice breaking.

"Don't talk to me like that, young man," Moonbin said, his tone hard. "I could have that son of a bitch locked up for kidnapping."

"You know he didn't kidnap me!" Jin shot back, his voice trembling. "And yes, I know you could do that with a snap of your fingers. Just like you did when you helped Dad walk free after he killed two people and ruined Jungkook's life!" Tears welled up in his eyes.

"Stop!" Il-guk said, his voice strained as he tried to keep control.

"What? You hate that we already know what you did? You killed Jungkook's family and acted like nothing happened, while he's been living miserably all this time!" Jin replied.

Taehyung wrapped his arms around Jin, holding him close.
"Calm down," Taehyung whispered, his hand gently rubbing Jin's back, trying to comfort him.

"This stays between us. Don't talk about it to anyone. If you keep bringing it up, I'll make sure that man ends up just like his family." Moonbin's voice was cold, controlled. "And I don't ever want to hear his name again. "Don't talk to him, do not have any contact with him—if you do, he'll be hurt, and that'll be on you."

"You're a monster!"

"Yes, I am," Moonbin snapped, his voice filled with fury. "And I won't let anyone-not even my own grandson-ruin everything I've worked for!" He paused, taking a deep breath to control his rage. "Il-guk, get bodyguards for Jin. Keep him under guard ay all times. If you need to hire military, do it."

He turned to Jin, his expression cold. "You're marrying the Min heir by the end of the month, whether you like it or not."

"I don't want to marry him! All of you didn't want me with Jae-hyun because of his reputation, but you want me to marry that pervert?!" Jin's voice was hoarse from crying.

"You'll do as I say, or the consequences won't just affect you-they'll affect that worthless bastard too," he said, before turning to leave Il-guk's office.

Jin opened his mouth to respond, but Taehyung cut him off.

"That's enough. Let's just get out of here. Let Namjoon hyung handle it." Taehyung whispered as he gently pulled Jin out of the room. Once inside Jin's room, Taehyung guided him to the bed. "I know it's hard, but you can't keep pushing Gramps like this. You're not going to get anywhere." Taehyung spoke softly, trying to keep his voice steady. "Hyung will talk to them. He doesn't want you marrying Yoongi either. Just... calm down, okay? Don't do anything rash. You know Gramps won't hesitate to hurt that guy if you keep this up."

"His name's Jungkook. Call him by his name. And yes, I know they won't hesitate to hurt him. I just— I don't know what to do. This is all my fault."

"None of this is your fault. It's Dad's and Gramp's fault."

"And what are we supposed to do about it?"

Taehyung didn't answer.

The knocking on the door continued, but Jungkook didn't move. He was slouched over the table, drunk, surrounded by scattered bottles.

"Boss! We're coming in!" Mitch shouted, followed by a loud crash as he and Gavin forced the door open. They rushed inside, and Hye-kyo followed close behind.

"He's in the kitchen!" Gavin shouted.

Hye-kyo quickly made her way to the kitchen. "Jungkook, what's going on? Are you sick? What are you doing with your life?"

Mitch, looking guilty, spoke up. "Sorry about the door, Boss. We'll fix it. We were worried. You haven't been to the pub in five days, and you haven't answered our calls or messages."

Jungkook didn't respond. He just slumped further into his chair, not moving.

For several hours, the three of them cleaned up the house, cooked for Jungkook, and tried to help him sober up. When they finished, Mitch and Gavin left for the pub, but Hye-kyo stayed behind.

"Jungkook, stop doing this to yourself," Hye-kyo said, her voice full of concern. "I thought you were getting better. Just last week, you seemed genuinely happy. You looked like you were starting to recover. I really thought you were doing okay." She paused, her tone softening. "Min-ho wouldn't have wanted you to be like this."

Jungkook let out a bitter, humorless laugh. "I should've died with them."

"Don't say that."

"No, it's the truth," he said, his voice flat. "Why should I be alive when I was meant to live this miserable, empty life?" He sighed, his voice cracking. "I'm not meant to be happy. That's just how it is."

Hye-kyo reached out and placed a hand on his shoulder. "You're wrong. You're still here. That means you've got a chance to make things better."

That night, after Hye-kyo left, Jungkook lay on his bed, staring at the TV. He wasn't really watching it—he had been doing this for days, waiting for any news about the Kim family. He wanted to know how Jin was, even just a glimpse. But all he'd seen were paparazzi photos of Jin, his small face covered by large sunglasses, surrounded by bodyguards.

"Are you even thinking about me?" Jungkook whispered to himself.

He was lost in thought when suddenly, Jin's face appeared on the screen. Jungkook sat up straighter, his heart racing. The video showed Yoongi stepping out of the Kim family's exclusive members-only club.

- NEWS REPORT -

"...As you can see, the Min family's only heir has just been seen leaving the Kim family's exclusive members-only club. Rumors about the preparation of his wedding with the youngest Kim heir have been circulating, especially after photos of the Kim and Min families dining together were released.

Many are now wondering whether this union is truly driven by love or if it's a calculated move between two of the country's most influential families. While both families have kept quiet, sources close to the couple hint at growing tensions, with some suggesting that the wedding could be more about consolidating power than personal affection. The true nature of their relationship remains unclear.

Jungkook sighed and turned off the TV. Frustration and confusion rose inside him as he clenched his fists. He had been waiting for days, hoping for something, anything—an update, a sign, even just a hint of Jin's whereabouts.

When Jin left, someone came to pick up his things—his clothes, phone, car. Jungkook had begged them for an address, but they wouldn't tell him anything. The emptiness stayed with him, as if Jin's life was being erased right before his eyes, and Jungkook was left with nothing but a sense of helplessness.

He muttered to himself, "How do I even talk to you? You never answer my calls or messages."

For the next couple of months, there was no news about Jin. Jungkook kept watching, desperately hoping for an update, but nothing came. The silence felt like it was choking him. He tried calling Jin's number over and over. At first, it rang, but no one picked up. After months of trying, Jin finally answered.

"Stop calling me," Jin's voice cracked through the line, sharp and cold. "I don't want to talk to you. I don't even know what I was thinking, letting myself believe you mattered to me. This is the last time I'll answer. Live your life. Forget me. That's what I'm doing."

The line went dead.

After that, Jungkook couldn't reach him. No texts. No calls. Just a void where Jin used to be.
