"Since I'll be staying here for a while, shouldn't we at least know each other's names? I'm Seokjin, but everyone calls me Jin. I'm guessing you already know that since you mentioned seeing me on the news," he introduced himself, extending his hand in a friendly gesture.

Jungkook remained fixated on the TV, ignoring Jin's outstretched hand.

"I'm trying to be friendly here. Can't you make an effort too? I just want to know your name," Jin persisted.

Jungkook stayed silent, maintaining his focus on the TV.

"Fine, I'll just call you whatever I want then, and it's Mr. Grumpy for now," Jin shrugged, with a hint of amusement in his voice.

Jin left for a moment but came back after just a few minutes, flashing a grin and asking, "Hey, could you please cook some noodles?"

Jungkook finally tore his eyes away from the screen to look at Jin. "They're instant noodles. Just add boiling water to the cup. If you can read, the instructions are on the label," he replied bluntly before returning his attention to the TV.

With a sigh, Jin retreated to the kitchen.

More than an hour had passed since Jin left, and Jungkook grew curious about what he was up to. He decided to check the kitchen and found Jin eating noodles. To his surprise, Jin was crying as he continued to eat.

"What the fuck is wrong with those noodles? They can't be that bad," Jungkook remarked.

Jin hastily wiped his face and looked at Jungkook. "Could you please tone down the cursing? It's been non-stop since I got here, and it's not exactly pleasant."

Jungkook sighed deeply. "Why do I have to follow your rules in my own house?" He narrowed his eyes at Jin. "So, what's got you crying?"

"It's none of your business why I'm crying," Jin said, pushing his bowl of half-eaten noodles into the sink before turning away from the kitchen.

"Who's going to clean that up? And you're wasting food; you should have finished it," Jungkook remarked sharply.

Jin shot Jungkook a glare but decided not to argue. He turned back to rinse the bowl when Jungkook suddenly grabbed his hand.

"What happened to your wrist?" Jungkook asked, his tone softening.

"Nothing," Jin replied tersely.

"Did you burn yourself while making those noodles?" Jungkook stared at Jin with a mix of disbelief and irritation. "What's with rich people like you?"

Jin stood silently, not uttering a word.

Jungkook sighed in resignation and left the room. He returned a few minutes later with a first aid kit in hand.

They remained quiet as Jungkook gently applied burn cream and dressed Jin's minor injury.

"It's just a minor burn, so it shouldn't leave a scar."

"Thank you," Jin murmured gratefully.

Jungkook acted like he didn't hear. "Get out of here."

Jin nodded, bowed his head, and quietly left the kitchen.

After cleaning up, Jungkook decided to make dinner. Normally, he'd just prepare a sandwich for himself and pair it with beer. However, tonight he found himself cooking Jeyuk Bokkeum and fried chicken.

"Why am I even doing this? I'm supposed to make your life difficult, you spoiled brat," Jungkook muttered to himself as he worked in the kitchen.

Once he finished cooking, he knocked before entering the bedroom. Inside, Jungkook saw Jin already fast asleep. He stood there quietly, watching Jin's peaceful expression and the gentle rise and fall of his chest with each breath. Jungkook debated whether to wake him or let him sleep. Suddenly, Jin woke up with a start. He was surprised to find Jungkook standing beside the bed, staring at him intently with a furrowed brow.
