Jungkook came back after nearly two hours, carrying stuff from the local store. As he arrived, the door swung open before he even got off his motorbike. There was Jin, looking all fresh from a shower, in a shirt and shorts, hands on his hips.

"Where are my phone, wallet, and car keys?" Jin demanded.

Jungkook walked past him without a word, heading straight for the kitchen. He placed the groceries on the table and began sorting them out, pointedly ignoring Jin's presence.

"Is this some kind of kidnapping? Because I swear I'll fight you," Jin said, trying to sound calm.

Jungkook scoffed, "Yeah, right. If you say so, princess."

"I've told you to quit calling me princess. I'll actually fight you, you know. Just 'cause I look like a softie doesn't mean I am," Jin said, sounding determined.

Jungkook just shrugged and carried on with what he was doing, ignoring Jin completely.

"Besides, I've figured out you won't really hurt me."

Jungkook suddenly stopped and looked at Jin, raising an eyebrow. "Oh? And why's that?"

"Because if you wanted to hurt me, you could've done it when I was drunk last night," Jin asserted confidently.

"How do you know I didn't do anything to you last night? Like you said, you were drunk," Jungkook questioned.

Jin hesitated for a moment. "Um, I just know. And if you were really kidnapping me, you shouldn't have left me here alone," he added.

Jungkook completely set aside what he was doing and turned to face Jin. "What if I tell you I intend to keep you here?" Jungkook's eyes held a challenge.

"You can't. Plenty of people saw me last night, and they saw us together."

"All the people who saw you were either drunk or on my payroll. I could easily tell them we spent the night together and then you left. This isn't like your city where every corner has CCTV."

"But you left me here alone. If you really kidnapped me, you wouldn't have left me alone and untied."

"You wouldn't have made it out here by yourself. And I don't think you'd be stupid enough to risk running into Tom and his gang... or snakes. Thanks for the suggestion though; next time, I'll just tie you to the bed if I have to leave you alone again," Jungkook said casually, then went back to sorting the groceries.

"Stop messing with me. My brothers will be looking for me, and they'll find me. Once they do, you'll be in jail before you can even say sorry," Jin threatened confidently.

"What makes you think I'd be scared of jail? Look at me—alone, no family. Do you really think I care about my life right now?" Jungkook walked towards him, and Jin suddenly felt scared under Jungkook's intense stare. Jin instinctively backed away with each step Jungkook took until his back hit the wall.

Jungkook stood over him, and Jin couldn't hold his gaze so he started to turn away. Jungkook blocked his path with arms on both sides. "Jail doesn't scare me. I've got nothing to lose." With that, he pushed away from Jin and left the kitchen, muttering under his breath, "And it's all because of your father."

"What?" Jin asked, confused. Jungkook didn't turn back, saying, "I said, when I get back, make sure the groceries are sorted and the kitchen's clean."

"You're so inconsiderate. You brought me here last night, disappeared for hours earlier, and now you're back without even asking if I've eaten."

Jungkook turned to face Jin, ready to give him a piece of his mind. But the look on Jin's face stopped him.

"Stop trying to be cute. That won't work on me. There's plenty of food in the pantry and fridge. It's not my fault you didn't check."
