"Let me out of the car, Dedrick!" I yelled.
"No! You can wait till we get to my place. Now, shut your mouth."
I calmed myself, because I didn't see this situation getting any better, "You know what Dedrick? I don't like this side of you, okay? Why are you being like this? I don't understand. What did I do so bad to you? What did I say?" I cried.
"Last time that I checked, this was my life and I can live and act the way I want," he said. I believe that he passed that message.
"Do you not care about me anymore?" I asked, shoving his arm.
He pulled the car over to the side of the road. More tears started flooding my eyes and pouring out. He turned in his seat to where he was facing me, fear collapsing on me, "Listen here Shontelle, when you got with me, there were other things you had committed to."
"Dedrick, I didn't know anything about you and this little business that you run. I didn't. So why me? Why?" I put my hand in my hands, where my elbows were resting on my knees.
I felt him pull my hair back, "Well, that ain't my fault now is it?"
"Please let me go," I said, through tears. He let my hair go and I wiped my tears. We sat in silence, while I was leaning my head up against the window, trying to avoid the hate in his eyes. I felt like I was sitting right next to the devil. "Can...can, you answer one question for me?" I stammered.
"What Shontelle, what?" he said, through gritted teeth.
"Why did you pick me, when you know there's other girls? Why did you lead me on to something like this? I didn't deserve this, Dedrick."
He started moving his hand up and down my leg, "You sexy and you have an amazing body. Guys at school talk about you everyday, all the things that they would do to you, and so that made me want to get ahold of you and make you fall in love with me."
"Well, I guess it worked, huh? Are you happy now? You got what you wanted and everything else, huh?"
"Yes I did, especially since I'm the one that's rolling."
"Can you just let me out right here?"
"No, I ain't fixin' to have you go and snitch to the police."
"I'm not. Just let me walk from here to my house. Please," I begged, "We're not that far from my house. Please."
"No," he started up the car again and we started back down the road again with nothing, but silence.
