Walking up to the front entrance of the club, I could feel my heart beating out of my chest. I didn't know what I was going to be walking into. Kiarra's voice, echoing in my head of the warning she gave me. This was my very first time to go to a club. To be around people that would eventually lose their conscience in here, because of all the heavy drinking and the drugs. I looked over at Dedrick. He looked like he was ready to party, nor like me. I looked like I was ready to walk out of here, but I wanted to prove to Dedrick that I wasn't just some girl that was always in the books, never getting myself out of the house. I wanted him to know that I knew how to have fun when it was acceptable, "I'm scared, Dedrick," I said.

He looked down at me and grabbed my hand. "Baby why?"

"Because I ain't ever been to a club before and you know that, don't you?" I asked.

"Baby, look at me," he turned to me and he took both of my hands in his, rubbing them gently, "It'll be okay. I'm here with you, so you'll be okay. You'll be safe with me."

He didn't really make me feel better, but I tried to increase my excitement. Thinking, that hey, I'll be here with my baby, and we'll have a great time, nothing will happen, because I'm with Dedrick. He grabbed my hand and lead me into what seemed like a dark room, until lights started flashing everywhere. Dedrick turned and smiled at me, and I saw his smile glowing in the fluorescent lights. There were couples migrating through the room, finding and dropping people that they didn't even know. Girls flirting. Guys touching. I can tell you this, this wasn't my atmosphere at all. Half of me wanted to leave and the other half wanted to stay, just to see what Dedrick had in mind and the reason why he wanted to come in the first place.

As we were just standing around, I noticed that this guy was on his way to me and Dedrick. I didn't know him, but I'm pretty sure that Dedrick did. He walked up to Dedrick with his smile glowing in the dark. He did their handshake and he said something in Dedrick's ear, but I couldn't hear a single word, because the music was so loud and overbearing. I figured that whatever was being said, it was about me, because the looks this guy was giving me. Gawking me up and down and biting his bottom lip, like he was at a buffet or something. I tried to look in other directions, besides his. "Who's she?" he asked, yelling.

"That's my girl, man," Dedrick replied.

"She sexy. You gonna make her, you know, one of your prostitutes?" Did he really just say prostitutes? What in the world was he talking about? Prostitutes. I shook the word away and kept my peace, acted like I didn't hear anything.

"That's somethin' I would have to ask her, you know?"

"Yeah that's what I did with Cara, and she still running business."

"Man, you crazy! Ay' man some of my clients are here and I got business tonight, so see you around bro'."

"Aight' man," they pounded and he went his way, while we went ours.

"So your little friend has a business, huh?" asking Dedrick. He dragged me into a corner, while situating his hands on my shoulders. I honestly couldn't see if he was mad or not, because I couldn't tell. It was too dark in there, but his voice explained his mood, "You know I really don't appreciate you getting all up in my business or my friends."

" I...I....I wasn't," I stammered.

"Stay right here," he left me and came back with two big guys. Muscles jolting out of their wife beater tanks. While the lights were glaring off of them. I scammed them up and down, looking at them with disgust, "Who are they Dedrick?" I asked.

"My friends, Kenom and Tyler," Dedrick replied.

The tallest guy grabbed me and dragged me into the nearest bathroom, but I noticed that it was hidden from the rest of the big room, that was surrounded with people, so I thought this didn't mean anything good!
