I looked at what Dedrick's face looked like. He had a face of shock. I shrugged my shoulders. I walked out of the door with the guy that I just made love with. I had tears falling down my face. He chased after me and stopped, "Hey girl!" I turned around.
"What?" I yelled.
"Come here. What's wrong?" he asked.
"This is...is my chance. I can get away, now. He found a new one, but I feel so bad for her," I said while crying and trying to catch my breath. He forced my head onto his chest. Tears just came quicker than ever.
"Just go back and act like you saw nothing and trust me, it'll kill him. Trust me," I took his advice, but before I went back in, I noticed that he stayed behind, "Are you not coming?" I asked.
"No, this is something you need to do on your own. Be strong," he said. He gave me an assuring smile and I turned my back and walked inside the apartment of hell.
