I was laying in bed, pondering on the thought of me cutting me and Kenom's relationship off. I got up and put a light jacket on. I slipped on my comfy slippers and sneaked out of the room, quietly. I grabbed my mom's old car keys off the counter and got in the car. I rushed over to Kenom's condo.
I ran up to his door, with the keys jingling in my coat pocket. I knocked and knocked, because I wanted him to hear that I was here. I knocked, until he finally opened it. Tears were falling down my face, because I knew that I had done a perfectly good guy, wrong. I ran into his arms and just cried all of my worries out onto his chest and shoulders. I felt his hand on my head, gently running his hand down my hair, "Come on, baby," he took me inside and sat me and directed me to the couch. I sat myself down beside him. I got on top of him and and laid my head on his shoulder. I wrapped my hands on his neck and rubbed my hands on his head, in a circular motion, feeling his good waves, "Forgive me baby. I'm sorry," I whispered in his ear. I looked back into his eyes and kissed him. I could feel his hands going up and down my back, "I forgive you baby. You're mine and you know that," he said, softly.
"Yeah, I do baby," I replied.
"You're my baby girl. Reach into this pocket and you'll find something that you're missing," I reached into his right side pocket, in his jeans and pulled out the promise ring, "You saved it?" I asked.
"I knew you were gonna be back. You couldn't leave me, baby. I mean I didn't know, I was just kind of wishing and if you were to come back, I would have it handy, you know?" he explained. "You're right," I said, while slipping the ring back on. I was so glad to be back in his arms.
