Arianna made her way through her kitchen finished up the breakfast that she had prepared. The home was filled with the savory scent of maple that lingered off of the breakfast sausages along with the hint of cinnamon from the French toast.
Trevon walked into the kitchen with his usual happy smile plastered onto his face. He made his way towards Arianna planting a kiss against her cheek, allowing his silent gesture be his loud greeting.
"You and Rae going to your appointment today, right?" He questioned, grabbing a glass from her cabinet, and making him a cup of apple juice.
"Mhm," she hummed, her eyes gazing up from the plate that she had just prepared for him. "You sure you don't want me to bring Ayla with me?"
Trevon playfully rolled his eyes at her concern knowing that she would be fine with him. "Baby I got this. You go take care of your health."
"Fine," she sighed, a smile gracing her lips. "Y'all have fun today and I will see the both of you when I get back."
"Okay." Trevon nodded, kissing her cheek once more. Arianna smiled, her heart filled with jitters at the whole reason for the appointment.
She was still at a balance between excitement and fear about the pregnancy so it gave her a hint of anxiety. As she space out for a moment, the sudden ring from the doorbell interrupted her thoughts.
Trevon opened the front door, giving his sister a warm hug, and stepping aside for her to walk into the home. "Hey, bestie!" She greeted with a large smile.
"Hey, Rae." She replied back, her smile returning back the her face. "You want to eat before we go?"
"Nope." She simply stated, her eyes filled with the excitement of becoming an auntie, though she had to remain quiet for Arianna's sake.
"Come on!" She said eagerly, as she walked closer, pulling Arianna's hand, and quickly guided them out the front door. The duo settled themselves into the front seat, Rae turned the key in the ignition, and they pulled off.
"I didn't even get to eat yet," she giggled glancing over at Rae. "You are super excited from what I see. I forgot to tell you I think Ayla knows or feels like she knows because she is at my hip more than she usually is. Is that normal?"
"You never heard that your kid knows if you are pregnant before anyone else?" Rae questioned, stopping at the red light that had just switched over.
"Nope," Arianna said, shaking her head. "I never looked into no shit like that. I never thought I would have another baby, duh."
Rae playfully rolled her eyes, glancing back at the road. "Girl, boo. You should have been on birth control or something."
