Valerie sat in Elijah's room, her guitar in her lap, while her back rested on his bed frame. He was currently getting ready for a date, and Valerie was giving him advice, telling him what he should and shouldn't wear.
She was playing the outro to "White Ferrari" by Frank Ocean, while humming the lyrics.
"Should I leave two unbuttoned? I could do three?" Eli looked in his mirror, asking Valerie
"Three's tacky, I'd go with two." Valerie's vision remained on the neck of her guitar.
She started to find the chords to "Dark" by Dominic Fike. After failing, she looked up the lyrics and chords.
"Hey I forgot to ask, how's things with Javon?" Elijah asked as he played with the collar of his shirt.
"Good, actually. He's heard "Stupid" by the way. I was singing it to Jess, and he heard it." Valerie smiled at the mention of her boyfriend.
She found the chords and started to play them.

After mumbling the first two lyrics, Valerie started to hum the rest.
"Okay, I'm gone V, I'll see you later." Elijah made his way to her to grab his phone of his night stand, and while doing so, ruffled Valeries hair and kissed her head.
"Mkay, drive safe! Love you!"
They'd always had a brother and sister dynamic, all the boys shared that, but Valerie always was closer to Elijah.
Valerie sat on Kaleo's bed on her stomach, her notebook in front of her, facing the bottom of the bed. Alejandro sat with her guitar on the bed frame, strumming a few chords, as Valerie wrote a new song. Kaleo was playing COD, sat on his gaming chair
"Mkay, so, it's a little different from what we usually do, but I think it could be called "In a Good Way"?" Valerie sat up and faced Ale.
"Here, lemme hear it." he handed her the guitar to help her find the rhythm of the song. It was something Valerie could do very often when she wrote songs.
"Uhh, okay,"

Valerie did a tiny guitar solo, "This is gonna be longer when we record, trust." She told him before continuing to sing
I didn't know that I was capable

"Yea, I like that one. Like light bass, maybe. Some drums." Alejandro recommended.
"Yea. Like, during the solo?" Valerie remained strumming a few guitar strings, a habit she had if she was bored and a guitar was in her hand. Most of the time it was repeated when she couldn't find inspiration for her songs.
"Mhm. I think this one's really cool. Hey, we have like 10 songs already recorded, are we gonna make an album or something?" Ale asked the girl, an eyebrow raised, as he waited for her response.
"We should. I wanna put this one on it though."
Valerie smiled.
"Do you wanna record right now?" Valerie nodded in response, and the two ran to her "room" AKA their little studio.
"Kay, can you call Leo, we need him for drums."
Alejandro was sitting in front of their setup, he was currently trying to find the right beat, making Valeries vision for the song come to life.
"Mhm." Valerie nodded, putting her bag of Nerds gummy clusters on the desk, getting up to call Kaleo.
She found him lying on his bed on his phone, a look of boredom on his face.
"Hey Rum." Rum was the nickname Valerie gave for Kaleo. He earned it years and years before the band formed. When he was about 10, and Valerie was 7, he'd always call the drums, "rum's".
It was a habit he'd learned to grow out of only after he turned 14.
"Wassup?" He looked up from his phone.
"Ale wants you for drums real quick." She jumped on his bed.
"You guys are making a new song?" He sat up, at the mention of a possible new song.
"Yes, when we were in here I played it for him while you were on your game. I'm pretty sure you couldn't hear me, cause you had your head set on" Valerie showed a tight lip smile.
"Mkay." Kaleo soon got up and headed to their studio.
"Hey baby." Javon greeted.
"Hi Jay!" Valerie smiled at him over the phone.
"Hey Javon!" The three boys greeted. Vinny came home from a house party, a few hours after they finished the song.
"Hey guys!" Javon waved as Valerie pointed the camera to the guys sitting on the couch across her.
She got up to head to her room so the two could have a little more privacy.
"Hey, is it cool if I come over for a bit?" He'd originally wanted to ask to sleep over, but he wasn't sure that the boys would be okay with it.
"Yea, of course. Do you wanna spend the night?" Valerie thought to ask the question. It was already 10:00, and she didn't like the idea of him having to drive home so late. She also just couldnt sleep without him now. Whether that be on the phone, or in person.
Also considering Javons going back home in a few weeks, they wanted to spend as much time as they could together.
"Yes! Is that okay?" He smiled, excited that he now gets to spend even more time with his girlfriend.
"Duhh. Theres a spare key in the pot out front, it's in the soil, in a little sandwich bag. When you get here just take it out. You can keep it. Elijahs paranoid and made like 5 copies."
Javon smiled at the fact that he now gets a key to her house. "Ohhh, so I get key privileges now??" His grin forming ear to ear.
"Y'know on second thought, my porch looks really comfy?" Valerie put a finger on her chin, pretending to think.
"Whatever... I'll see you in a bit."
"Mkay, love you."
"Love you too."
