2:30pm, Saturday

Jules lay on her stomach on the bed. Her positioning was partly to keep her still shower-wet hair from messing up Fiona's duvet, and partly to try and hide the dumb smile that was still plastered across her face.

She still wasn't sure why she was trying to hide how happy she was.

Why was she trying to seem more 'serious'?

Jules just sighed.

Guess that was something else to bring up with her therapist. Next session was going to be a big one...

She was so caught up in her thoughts that she was surprised when Fiona laid down next to her.

"Hey, you awake?" She asked softly.

Jules turned her head in response to see Fiona leaning on her elbow while lying on her side. A light grey tank top and a pair of black shorts loosely draped over her athletic frame.

That look in her eyes...

"Yeah..." Jules answered as she shifted over onto her side.

She couldn't make sense of the look...

It almost seemed...

Longing?

That couldn't be right...

She didn't deserve that...

"How was that?" Fiona suddenly asked.

The inquiry confused Jules.

"Which bit are you referring to?" She said with an unintentionally soft tone.

"Like... All of it." Fiona clarified with a microscopic shrug.

Jules closed her eyes briefly, and the memories came flooding back to her.

The noise... The bubbles rising above her...

The unbelievable sensation of floating...

The feeling that she was somewhere where she wasn't supposed to be...

The feeling that she was where she belonged...

It was stimulating and serene at the same time...

Jules wasn't sure that she could ever adequately explain how it felt...

"It was incredible." Was what she settled for.

"Yeah..." Fiona concurred with her ever-present smile.

Jules held her breath for a moment as Fiona shuffled closer to her.

She tried to distract herself from the other girl's staggering beauty by not looking at her face... And ended up getting lost in how well-defined Fiona's shoulder muscles were.

"Whatcha thinking about?" Fiona prodded with a knowing smirk.

Jules barely managed to avoid answering with some variation of 'please hold me in your strong arms' and scrambled to pick something to say that wouldn't be massively weird and/or embarrassing.

"How do you think I did?" She queried.

As Jules was kicking herself for asking for validation so pathetically, Fiona just looked at her with a smile.

"How do you think you did?" She asked back.

Jules just squirmed; her composure not helped by Fiona gently placing a hand on her hips.
