Living with your boyfriend was a million times harder then living with someone you hated. At least when Scorpius and Rose disliked each other they could avoid one another and live in peace. Now that they were officially together, Rose found it so much harder to concentrate when he was with her or away from her. After a few weeks she thought it would have gotten easier, but it wasn't. When they were together they couldn't keep their hands off each other or cease having a conversation. When they were apart (the whole wall separating them when she locked him out of her office to get work done) she thought about him constantly, wishing he'd burst down the door and interrupt her.

It was a constant cycle. One she was trying to break as she looked over her new case files. Scorpius stood behind her, massaging her shoulders, as he whispered taunting promises in her ear.

"You need a break," He encouraged, "Come off it. Put the parchment down."

Rose flipped another page. Before Rose left she'd charmed a two-way parchment for her and Helene to easily communicate about the case. Helene had messaged her in a panic this morning about one of the survivor's testimonies. Rose had been digging through her notes to find her initial interview to review and send it to Helene.

It was only a week before the trial so Helene was starting to feel the pressure. Rose was trying so hard to help ease her nerves and prepare her for the case. With the amount of evidence the Aurors gathered during the raid and her and Marcus's testimonies the case was going to be a breeze

She was just finishing summarizing it when Scorpius barged in under the pretenses of helping her out. She'd only been in alone in her office for under an hour and already was thankful for his presence.

Scorpius's expert fingers pressed deliciously into her flesh. She held back the moan that was begging to come out and relaxed in her chair.

"I really should get this done." She tried to reason.

"You should," Scorpius agreed as he leaned down to whisper in her ear, "But you could always finish it later."

He began kissing her neck in a slow descent until he found that spot on her collarbone that he knew drove her mad.

Rose's thighs automatically clenched tighter, her breathing turning shallow, as he continued to assault her neck. Her head dropped back to rest on his shoulder giving him easier access. That was a mistake. Scorpius took full advantage of the new skin, letting his hands graze lightly over her collarbone

This time she couldn't stop the little moan that escaped. "You're going to get me fired."

Scorpius smiled against her skin, "They'd be stupid to fire you. Besides, we've got the Malfoy family vault as a back-up plan."

"Not we. You."

"What good is all that bloody fortune if I can't use it to take care of my girlfriend."

Rose swore if it was possible she would have melted into a puddle right then and there. She twisted in her chair to face him, "I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself."

"I have no doubt about that," He agreed, trapping her between his hands as he let them rest on the desk. He positioned his legs between hers, forcing them open. "Doesn't mean I won't pamper you from time to time."

"I suppose I can allow that." She walked her fingers up his chest, pretending to be disinterested in the conversation. "I think it's important to note that if you want to be a good boyfriend you should know I prefer books over jewelry."

"I'll build you a whole goddamn library."

Finally, he stopped his teasing her and kissed her. Rose fisted his shirt, pulling him as close together as the chair allowed.
