GAZAZHEL LOOKS ATme after regaining her clarity, as if she had woken up from a horrible dream that made her utter the most suffering speech ever heard. She is lying with her wrists held by my strong hands, her bent knees brushing against the crotch of my pants; we are staring at each other, our eyes capturing one another.
Blood streaks her arms horizontally and settles on the velvet of the couch, drying quickly.
"Calm down and come back to yourself! Please, Gazazhel." My voice has softened, and I believe she has never heard me speak like this.
Her words have left a deep impression on me; I accused her recklessly, ignoring her sensitivity. But Gazazhel not only admitted to being a victim: she explicitly defined herself as superior to the entire creation, and her hatred hit me like a gust of cold wind.
"Raor...?" She says my name as if she doesn't understand why I'm straddling her and preventing her from moving.
"I apologize," I reply.
"Huh...? What are you saying?"
"I said things that hurt you. I did it because I'm afraid, I'm frustrated, and I can't stand you much. I can't pity you and say I trust you." I furrow my brow. "Nothing has changed between us. I can only admit that you've been through something immensely inhumane, and I understand your suffering. I advise you to make peace with yourself and ask if it's worth it. If you're sure of the things you try to convince yourself of."
