Your POV

You were at the biggest rehearsal room you've ever seen. Surrounded by BTS members, you all went on and on, preparing for your performance for Fallon Tonight. Not only was it nerve-wrecking to be performing for the one of the biggest talk shows in the world, the entire episode was going to be streamed live on Christmas night.

Jungkook and you kept exchanging glances in between singing and light choreography. As soon as you got your well-deserved break, he approached you with a mischievous glint in his gaze.

"Your singing is impeccable", you complimented him as soon as he took a seat beside you. He gave you a surprised look, followed by a smug smirk.

"I've been doing it for a long time", he tried to sound nonchalant but you knew he was giddy inside.

"Have you been writing in your dairy lately?" he suddenly asked, causing your cheeks to turn crimson.

"Why? Wanna sneakily read it again?" you tried to mask your shyness with sarcasm.

"I bet you wrote something like: "Dear Diary, Jungkook is so handsome! He's like my knight in shining armor!.." he started but burst out laughing mid-sentence.

"Jungkook!" you playfully slapped his chest before breaking into a chuckle.

"Dear Diary, I think I'm in love..." he kept teasing you as you rolled your eyes, letting out a soft laugh.

"I come bearing great news!" Wonwoo, Jungkook's manager entered the practice room with the utmost excitement on his features. "Jungkook and Y/N, your song on the album just claimed first place on Billboard Global!" he added as everyone in the room started clapping non-stop.

You turned to Jungkook with astonishment as he instantly engulfed you in a tight hug.

"You are my lucky charm, baby", he whispered in your ear before releasing you.

Still stunned, you turned around to BTS members who looked beyond excited. The staff members came in with a cake in their hands, singing a congratulations song and urging you to blow out the candles.

Jungkook and you exchanged an intense eye contact before making your wish and blowing out the candles at the same time.

"But how, our song is not the title track of your album?" you asked your ex-boyfriend whilst everyone was busy eating.

"No idea. Although, I'm glad it worked out this way!" Jungkook beamed, feeding you some cake. You didn't know why but the simple act felt somewhat sexual to you. There was nothing innocent about the man before you, especially when it came down to how he thought of you.

The way he stared at your lips as you munched on the piece of cake, the way his eyes turned the darkest shade of black when he gulped while observing your features, you knew, he had a different thought on mind.

"You have some cream here", he murmured before wiping a corner of your lips with his thumb. Maybe it was all in your imagination, but you felt like he deliberately took his time while rubbing his thumb on your skin. As he put his thumb in his mouth to get rid off the cream, you gulped at the sight, feeling your heart skip a beat.

As a result of your Billboard win, you had another performance added to your schedule. Now, you had to perform with Jungkook during his mini concert in New York. You felt wary of his fans' reactions, especially since your dating scandal, you didn't know how'd they react if they saw you performing a song together. Nevertheless, it was your job and you wanted to help him as much as you could.

It was finally D-day. The day of your Christmas special performance. After your long flight to New York, you were feeling a bit jet-lagged. But you had to fight through as it was the most important day in your career.
