Chapter 24

Your POV

"I gave you my virginity! You're my first, oppa. Do you hear me? First!" she shouted as you felt like your whole world came crashing down.

When did this happen? Did Jungkook date this Minji girl for a long time? And he was her first... It must've been serious. Tears started to flow down your cheeks as you turned around, rushing to the nearest restroom. As soon as you entered one of the stalls, your legs gave out as you couldn't stop sobbing.

You never felt this much disappointment in someone that you felt this growing hatred towards Jungkook. What the hell was he thinking?! Minji didn't have any reason to lie as they both didn't know you were listening to their conversation. Now, you couldn't be sure Jungkook wasn't in touch with her even during your relationship. Maybe he was giving her his attention, maybe he was giving her hope. Otherwise, why would she be so hung up on it?

"Oh my God, did you hear this? They say Minji might even be pregnant with Jungkook's baby", a woman's voice made you cease your crying. You closed your eyes in attempt to take control of your tears.

"Apparently, they've been dating for three years!" another woman added as they started to wash their hands.

You felt like knives of betrayal have pierced through your heart over and over again. If they were that close, if they were that in love, then why.. why did Jungkook pursue you like he only had eyes for you? Why did he drag you into his life when he already had someone who was waiting for him? Hell, she even came to his apartment unannounced to give a present. Maybe they really were in some kind of on-and-off relationship.

It took you a huge amount of effort to cease your sobs and fix your makeup as you exited the restroom looking like you came back from afterlife. Dead inside.

"Y/N!" as soon as you heard Jungkook's voice, you started to walk in the opposite direction. He marched towards you, catching up to you faster than you expected. "I can explain", he breathed out, his arm reaching out to caress your spine. You slapped his arm away before it could touch you.

"Don't. Touch. Me", you glared at him, the coldness of your tone shocking you both.

"Let me fuckin' explain", he gritted as tension rose between you two. You couldn't believe he was this rude to you after everything that happened.

"Save it", you gritted in the same tone, taking a step back from him. Suddenly, seeing his face felt like a burden. You didn't want to see him. You didn't want to hear his voice. And you didn't want to talk to him.

"Y/N, Jungkook, Calvin Klein's creative director has been waiting for you for ten minutes now", Jin's appearance made you break out of your misery. You nodded, silently saying hello to Jin as he eyed you with sympathy. You didn't have to look at him twice to know that he was already aware of everything. Everyone was. Everyone was convinced that Jungkook was dating Minji when he spent the night with you. Were you his mistress? The thought of it alone made you nauseous as you silently entered the room where Calvin Klein's creative director greeted you with a smile.

"Hello", you tried your best to give a similar smile back. Jungkook and him exchanged a similar greeting as you took a seat beside each other, with the creative director facing you both from the chair opposite to you.

"Pleasure to meet you, Y/N! Now that I see you face to face, I can't help but notice some similarity between your features. Jungkook and you look somewhat similar!" the man tried to compliment you as you responded with a small smile. You couldn't bring yourself to say "thank you" as all you could think about was how much you hated Jungkook at the moment.

"My name's Yoonho Park", he added, handing you his business card.

"Pleasure to meet you as well, Mr.Park", you nodded, politely nodding. It took all of you to stay focused on the conversation and take control of your facial expressions. If not for the sense of professionalism that you worked so hard to maintain everywhere you went, you would be on your way home, crying your eyes out.
