Chapter 19

Next day

Naomi Pov:
It was Thursday morning, and that's
means Jason is going for a quest
soon. I was looking at him as he was
getting himself ready, and I couldn't
feel peace. I mean, I know he is
super brave, dangerous for
monsters, so as for the rest of our
enemies, and he can handle himself
pretty well, but still...I didn't want
him to go. I know I'm now 10, but he
is the only family member I'm so
close with. Thalia is cool for sure,
but as hunters of Artemis, she can't
visit camp very often, so I already
saw her like maybe 5 or 6 times. And
so about Zeus, I didn't meet him, so
well, I guess it's why I'm not counting
him. You get it, right? Never mind.
Anyway, I was looking at him with sad expression on my face, and after a while, I walked over and hugged him.
~ I don't wanna say goodbye
~ Well, we don't have to say it now. We have about 1 hour still
~ Jason
~ I know, I know, but hey, as I told  you yesterday, everything will be fine, and we are gonna be back as soon as it's possible
I nodded and snuggled more into him
- I love you so much, don't ever forget it, okay?
- I love you too
Jason smiled and picked me up and kissed my forehead.

1 hour later

Jason Pov:
It was now time for me to go. I quickly checked if I had everything. I smirked as Naomi packed me some handmaid's hearts and lighting as reminded that it was gonna be with me all the time. I really appreciated it. Now, well, was time to say goodbye. Naomi, Piper, Annabeth, Nico, Will, and of course Chiron went with us towards camp boundaries. When we arrived there, I saw Annabeth snuggled into Percy and wishing him and Leo good luck with Will and Nico. Meanwhile, Piper and Naomi did the same for me. I could see tears in the eyes of my younger sister. It broke me inside, but I knew I needed to complete the quest.
~ Naomi, we will gonna talk every day by Iris's massage if it is possible. I will miss you, but you need to hold on for me, okay? Also, Piper will be for you anytime, so as Chiron, Will, and Nico. I promise everything it's gonna be alright. I love you.
She was still crying and snuggling into me, but I saw her look in her eyes, and I knew she understood.
~ I love you too
I smiled down at her. We were hugging for a moment. I was stroking her hair and back softly. After we pulled away, I pulled Piper also in a tight embrace and kissed her.
~ I know I don't have to say it but I will be careful and come back to us as soon as possible. ~ She said, stroking my hair
- I will, don't worry about that.
In the meantime, Naomi was saying goodbye to Leo and Percy. After a moment, Nico, Will, and Annabeth also gave me a hug while Piper was giving Leo and Percy. When we were done, Chiron wished us good luck. I quickly kissed Naomi one more time on the forehead and went with my buddies towards the street.

3 days later

Piper Pov:
It was now Sunday afternoon, and I walked towards the training area and saw Naomi training with Will. The last few days were hard for her, but as Jason was getting to us signs of life and that mission is going pretty good, she was a little more motivated to care for herself at some points. In the first 2 days, she didn't wanted to eat anything no matter what, so I was very worried about her. Well, still I am, but at least she finally listened to me and Chiron and ate pancakes for breakfast so I was determined to make sure she also ate a proper dinner. Now as I looked at her training on archery area I smiled because it was a sign that it was somehow better. After a few hours we were at dinning  pavilion for dinner and wanted to start eating but Nico Di Angelo showed up from shadows and pulled happy meal from McDonald for us and went also to Apollo table to gave it to Will and his siblings. I was shocked by a moment but quickly chuckled and looked at Naomi.
~ Well it's not the best kind of meal but you deserve it so go ahead and enjoy it sweetie
~ I didn't ate McDonald's in years, yup yup
I chuckled again and kissed her on forehead
- Well now you have occasion
- Look I have purple oreo plush
- Just like you
- Yeah, I can't wait to show it Jason in the evening, hope he is fine today also
- He is, I know him perfectly so trust me
- I believe but still I miss him and is my big brother
- I understand and I miss him too but we need to be patience
She nodded
After dinner we went to strawberries fields and enjoyed each others company by jumping, singing, and talking under sunset. In the evening I was with her in cabin 1 as I sleep there until Jason comes back to make sure she won't have nightmares. Before we go to bed we were talking with Jason and boys by Iris's massage. Naomi showed her new plush and spoke to Jason that she miss him for like 100 times. But well it was cute. I love their relationship and I'm happy that they are so close with each other. We were talking for like 30 minutes, boys told us how quest is going and all. When we ended the call I pulled Naomi close and let her snuggled into me as we were about falling asleep.
~ Goodnight princess, sleep well and try to think about something good, alright?
~ Goodnight Pipes and I will try, thanks for staying with me, I love you
~ No problem sweetheart and I love you too
And with that we closed our eyes and drifted off.

It's gonna be one more chapter yet, but before it I also make some kind of short version of how was Naomi doing between chapter 19-20.
