Chapter 15

*The Next Morning*

I woke up a bit early today. My arm hurt quite a bit. Plus my alarm was going to go off in 15mins anyways, I might as well get out of bed now and do my routine.

*Time skip*

"Anna, naan konjam veliya poittu varen, puthu books konjam vanga irukku, aprom Vanathi akkava konjam paakkanum." I said grabbing my bags getting ready to leave
(Brother, I need to go out and buy new resource for the boys and I also need to see Vanathi)

"Aa sari poittu bathrama vaa." anna said and I waved
(Ok, come back safe)

I walked to the gate but was stopped by a specific someone. I tried walking the other way, but he got in my way. I tried again but he stopped me.

"Enga pora?" he asked
(Where are you going?)

"Naan enga pona enna?" I asked back
(Why do you care where I go?)

"Nethu iravu unna aim panni naan glass bottles ah erila." he said
(I didn't mean to throw the glass bottles at you)

"Apdi theriyalayae." I said, sarcasm evident in my tone
(Didn't seem like it)

"Tch, athaan naan sollren la." he said getting quite annoyed
(I know but I just said it wasn't meant for you)

"Das nee ipdi thaan ovoru muraiyum ethayachum pannitu vanthu sollra." I complained
(Das you do this all the time. You do something and then completely play it off but apologising or whatever)

"Malini-" I cut him off
(Malini-)

"Das thayavu seithu valiya vidu." I said sternly and he moved so I could leave the place
(Das just get out my way)

Das' POV:

"Dei ennada iva ipdi unkitta pesittu pora, neeyum ethuvum pesama irukkura?" Dheena asked
(Hey, how come you're not saying anything?)

"Tch, vidungada." Das said walking back disappointed
(Just leave it)

"En Das uh unakku avla pudikuma?" another friend asked
(Das do you like her?)

I just glared at him.

"Pudikalana sollu, naan paathukkuren. Summa sollu koodathu kovapadum pothu semma figure da avalukku." he said smoking his beedi
(If you don't like her tell me, I'll gladly take her. Can't lie she is so hot when she's pissed)

"DEI!" I grabbed his collar but was gained composure again
(YOU!)

"Appo unakku pudikkum." he said pushing my hands of his collar
(So you like her?)

They all just looked at me before walking off. I stood back staring at the gate. I guess really overdid it.

Malini's POV:

I got an auto to get to the stores. It wasn't as busy today surprisingly. There was no traffic, everything seemed to be moving fast. I was minding my business looking out the window when suddenly a lorry came speeding out of nowhere and collided with another auto driving beside ours. My heart stopped.

"ANNA! Auto ah niruthunga!" I said as he driver stopped.
(BROTHER! Stop the auto!)

I rushed to the auto that had been crashed into and it was onky the driver in. I helped him out with the aid of a few other people and then called for an ambulance. We got to the hospital and the man's family was contacted.

Half an hour later, the man's family arrived and thanked me. I paid for all the medication and left. I reached out for my phone but it wasn't there. Huh, must have lost it at the scene.

At the jail:

"Hello sir, ellarume safe nu group la message potu irukkanga, aana Saveetha, Bhargav aprom Malinikku line pohala sir." a student told JD
(Hi sir, everyone is safe, we couldn't get through Saveetha, Bhargav and Malini)

"Malini enga maa irukka?" he said before calling Vanathi. Vanathi answered but unfortunately JD got the news that Vanathi's husband had died. JD couldn't take it anymore especially after hearing that Bhargav died and that Sri was stabbed
(Malini where are you?)

He called Malini's phone and the call went through.

"Malini unakku okay ah?" he shouted
(Malini you are ok right?)

"Ama naan okay ah thaan irukken." a voice mimicking a female voice said from the other side
(yEaH I'm OkAy)

"Dei yaaruda nee?" JD shouted
(Hey who are you?)

"Yovv Vaathi, naan thanda Bhavani. Annaikku kooda en kalathula kathi vachiye? Ama un thangachi poi senthuttanu kelvi patten, scene la kooda ava phone thaan minjichinu kelvi patten?! Ippovathu purinjuko, en valila vara ovoruthanukkum ithaan gathi nu." Bhavani said
(Yoo I'm Bhavani, remember you even held a knife to my neck. Apparently your sister died, and her phone was all that was left at the scene..)

" DEI UNNA KOLLAMA VIDA MAATEN DA!" JD screamed into the phone as he felt to ground unable to take the news of Malini's death, with that he hung up on Bhavani and stayed on the ground crying
(I WILL KILL YOU!)

"Thambi, enna paa achu?" one of the men asked him
(Son, what happened?)

"Malini sethutta naa." JD said through his tears
(Malini died brother.)

Hearing this Das stumbled but regained his composure. A few of the boys Malini taught cried upon hearing the news, while others stood in utter shock

"Thambi antha Bhavani vida koodathu, neenga ponga thambi naanga invanungala paathukkurom." the man said and JD got up from the ground and stormed off in anger
(Son, that Bhavani should die. You leave and take of him, while we take care of these guys)
