The carriage finally comes to a halt. I immediately get off, unable to spend another moment on it.
"Well, well, well!" Our stylist, Lyla, walks over to us. "Gentlemen, you did wonderful! Everyone loved you!" I do not say anything. I scowl at her.
"Leggy, you blew away all of those girls away," Lyla says, touching a piece of Legolas's hair, receiving a horrifyingly bad look from him.
"And you!" She looks at me. "This is hot." She touches my coat. I fight the urge to shove her off and slay her.
"And you, Bilbo, you're just so cute!" She cries, ruffling Bilbo's hair. "Wonderful job, you guys! Everyone loves you. Let's go up to your living quarters! You're going to love it." She walks forward and we follow her, dragging behind.
We walk in silence as Lyla leads us down a hallway and into an 'elevator'. I've never seen one before. There is so much in The Captiol that I have never experienced nor seen.
"Here we are!" Lyla squeals. We walk into a large room. It is remarkably clean. There is a gigantic big black thing on the wall. I do not know what it is. Couches are scattered around it. Lyla walks over to the black thing.
"You guys get the special living quarter with the 36 inch flat screen TV with all the channels!" she yells. The what? Whatever a TV is, they are not in Middle Earth. I look at Legolas and Bilbo to see if they're confused too - they are.
"What is that?" Legolas asks Lyla, pointing to the black thing, the 'TV'.
"It's a TV, honey. A television," Lyla says, annoyed.
"I do not understand," Legolas says, reading my mind.
Lyla sighs impatiently. "A TV is just a thing you watch shows on. Anyways, let's move on to the kitchen!" She's awful at explaining things. I'm still confused.
We follow her into the kitchen. I'm immediately astonished by all of the cooking gear. And I thought Bilbo's kitchen was big.
I see endless rows of pots, pans, and other kitchen supplies all set out nice and neat. Cupboards full of food of all varietys are stacked neatly, waiting to be eaten.
"Here's the kitchen," she says. "You can make your own food, but the avoxes will make you a breakfast buffet every morning and a dinner buffet every night, so it won't be necessary."
I do not know what an 'avox' is, so it just adds to my confusion. She walks towards the entrance of a hallway.
"And your bedrooms are down here," Lyla says, pointing down the hallway. "That should be pretty much it for the tour!" She walks to the door. "Have an amazing night, gentlemen! Be at the training enter tomorrow by 9. Okay? See you then!" She exits quickly.
Legolas immediately turns towards me, looking angry and annoyed with me. "I shouldn't have to be here." I'm about to say something but he cuts me off. "I am stuck here with a dwarf..." he looks at Bilbo, "...and a halfling."
"I did not tell them to come to your kingdom," I hiss at him. "And his name is Bilbo." Bilbo and I meet eyes for a second, and then he slowly wanders away from Legolas and I.
Legolas turns away from me without another word, ending our argument. I watch him walk towards the 'TV', examining it closely. I decide not to start the fight back up again, even though I desperately want to.
I look around for Bilbo, and spot him in the kitchen, opening various cupboards and pulling food out of them. At first I am confused as to why he's eating. We only had dinner two hours ago. Then I realize he's a hobbit. He's always hungry.
