Day 1
8:00 PM"Let's stop here," I hear Hermione say. "I can hardly see anymore." The sun completely went down a few minutes ago, and I agree that it's very dark out, despite us having our wands out. I drop the bag I was carrying next to a large tree trunk, and sit down next to it.
Harry sits next to me, and Hermione sits across from us. "Ugh, it's cold," I hear Hermione complain moodily.
All three of us sit in silence for a moment. The woods are completely silent; I don't even hear any insects or animals.
I don't like the mood in our group right now. Hermione is mad at Harry for apparently telling the entire Capitol that she has a crush on me. That doesn't make her any less mad at me, though. She's still jealous about Lavender and I. It seems like forever ago since I saw her. I don't know why she can't just let it go. Also, Harry is still a bit mad at me, only because I got mad at him for the same reason Hermione got mad at him; the whole 'Hermione has a crush on Ron' thing. I kind of let it go, but Harry still won't come around. So, there's just a lot of drama between us three. It's awkward, and we're treating each other like strangers.
"We better get ready for bed," Harry suddenly says, reaching to a bag. He unzips it and stands up.
He looks down at me. "Help me," he commands. I suppress a complaint and stand up.
Harry, during the bloodbath, was fortunate enough to grab something that we didn't even know they allowed in the arena: a tent. I'm sure we all would've been jumping with happiness about it, but we are all crabby. I'm still happy to have it, though.
I get the poles, the stakes, and the tent out of the bag. Harry and I lay out the tent on the ground in silence while Hermione watches.
Harry grabs a pole and tries to put it in the slot, but it doesn't go in.
"I need a light," Harry growls. He looks up at Hermione. "Give me light."
Hermione groans, getting up and sitting by Harry. "Lumos," she says.
I watch as Harry slides in the pole through the slot to my side. He slides in the other and then the tent is up.
I grab the steaks and plunge them in the ground while Harry puts on the rain fly. Hermione holds the light in silence.
When we're done, Hermione turns out the light.
"I'll do the protective enchantments," I tell them. I walk away from the tent, about 50 feet away. I raise my wand.
"Protego totalum..." I say, but nothing happens. It's as if my wand didn't hear me or something.
"Protego totalum," I repeat, but once again nothing happens. I look at my wand in confusion.
After trying it another time, I walk back to the tent, my mind spinning. I enter the tent.
Since we're witches and wizards, our tent is automatically bigger inside. It's really nice looking, and it's almost as big as an apartment. I spot three separate beds, which is good.
"Here." Hermione snatches a bag out of Harry's hands. "This one is mine. You guys share that one."
"What is it even?" Harry says.
