Reincarnated as a FOX!?

Chapter 19

I woke up laying on something cold, and my body felt like I slept on hard ground, in an extremely uncomfortable position for hours, if not a whole night. My body also felt strange, yet familiar? I was laying on my stomach, but my head was on its side, it also felt heavier than normal. My paws felt... different, yet so familiar. My legs felt even weirder, the feeling was hard to describe

I tiredly began opening my eyes as I tried to get up, but quickly stopped.
My arms weren't moving as I was used to, no, my whole body was moving weirdly. I looked back at my body and saw-

'HUH!? I- I'M HUMAN!? No wait! I have a tail! A fox tail!'

I quickly managed to get myself sat up and began to look myself over, my body was definitely human again, well, half human I guess, due to the ears on top of my head, the fluffy tail, both of which were dark purple. After some testing, I found out I could both extend and retract my claws at will, which were quite sharp

'W-What's going on!? I remember laying on Sophia, with pain that was only getting worse! And then the guild master or whatever noticed I was hurt, and after that I got really tired and fell asleep! W-Wait... did I... die?... No no no! T-That can't be it! It can't!'

I was starting to panic, I began shaking, fear was growing inside me, but of what I could not tell. I was staring at my hands, looking at my surroundings occasionally. I was in a dark, gray cave, that looked just like the one I was in when I first woke up in this world, as a fox, except this cave had no opening like before, there was just a wall, there was also a dark path to my right. Seing the dark passage made me notice that this cave had faint light coming from the ceiling sporadically, it was faint enough to not be noticeable for a normal person, but was bright enough for me to just about be able to see. Which meant, I had night vision, kind of

'This... isn't real... this... can't be happening...' at this moment through the crushing world ending despair, I realized something that brought back a glimmer of hope, washing away the overwhelming fear and despair

'W-Wait! Is this- Is this another dream? Like before? With that castle and that void place? Y-Yeah! That's gotta be it! This is a dream! Why am I even getting worked up about this? I didn't react anything like this when I found out I was a fox! Am I really that attached to being a fox? To my life as one?'

I took a few minutes to compose myself,  to erase the negative feelings I was having. Once that was done, I came to a decision

'Right! I think I should explore a bit? That's how I got out of these dreams before right?'

I started attempting to stand up, but quickly remembered that the method I was used to, wouldn't work with this body, so I tried to remember what I could, about how to do this from before I became a fox, which made me realise something, again

'Blegh, I need to relearn how to walk don't I... ugh... the balance is going to be all wrong too! Like, why is my head so heavy!? Gah this whole body is heavy! Even my tail! Though my tail makes sense, it's much bigger, and so much more fluffier! Anyway, complaining over! Back to exploring!'

I continued trying to stand up, and keep my balance, which I relearnt quickly. When I tried to walk forward, I did almost fall back down, but after a few attempts, I was able to walk without much issue

'Hmm, am I a quick learner, or was me relearning all this so quickly, just because of my previous experience with a body like this one?'

I started following the path, which twisted and turned sproadically, but from what I could tell, it was still going straight, despite the turns. After some time, I was begining to get bored, and unable to keep my focus on just my movements
