FUCKING CONFUSING CHAPTER BUT NEXT CHAPTER IS THE ENDING!

--

Three days.

It had been three days since Lisa walked out of her office, leaving behind a takeout bag and a piece of Jennie's heart shattered on her desk. Since then, Jennie's life had become a whirlwind of unanswered texts, missed calls, and sleepless nights.

Lisa hadn't responded to a single message. Not even the heartfelt voice note Jennie recorded in a fit of desperation.

Day 1

Jennie had spent the entire evening staring at her phone, rereading her texts over and over.

"Lisa, please let me explain. It wasn't what you think."
"I swear, there's nothing going on between me and Taehyung."
"I love you, Lisa. Please, talk to me."

Each message felt weaker than the last, the words blending into a haze of regret.

She had even gone as far as calling Rosé. "Rosie, please... I need to see her."
But Rosé had been firm. "Lisa doesn't want to talk right now, Jennie. Give her space."

Space. The one thing Jennie didn't want to give.

Day 2

Jennie tried to focus on work, hoping the mountain of tasks on her desk would distract her. But every time her phone buzzed, her heart leaped, only to sink when it wasn't Lisa.

Her father noticed her lack of focus during a meeting. "Jennie, what's going on with you? You've been zoning out all morning."

She wanted to scream, What's going on is that I might lose the love of my life because I was too stupid to tell her the truth.

Instead, she forced a smile and excused herself to the restroom, where she spent fifteen minutes trying to keep herself from crying.

That night, she cooked Lisa's favorite meal—spicy Thai basil chicken—hoping Lisa might come home and they could talk. But Lisa didn't come home.

Day 3

Jennie stood in front of the mirror, staring at her tired reflection. Dark circles shadowed her eyes, and her usual confident demeanor had crumbled into someone she barely recognized.

Her phone vibrated on the counter. A text. She snatched it up, her heart racing.

But it was from Mina.

Mina: "I'm so sorry, Ms. Kim. I didn't know how to stop her from coming in that day."

Jennie sighed, typing a quick reply. "It's not your fault. Don't worry about it."

She glanced at the list of missed calls on her screen. All to Lisa. All ignored.

What if she doesn't forgive me?

The Breaking Point

Jennie couldn't take it anymore. She grabbed her car keys and drove to Rosé's house. Her heart pounded as she pulled up to the driveway, unsure of what she was even going to say.

She rang the doorbell, her palms sweaty as she shifted on her feet.

Rosé opened the door, her expression cold. "What are you doing here?"
