Lisa's POV
The next morning, after making sure Jennie was comfortably settled in her office with her meetings lined up, I found myself with a bit of free time. I decided to meet up with Rosé for coffee, knowing I could use her advice on something that had been on my mind for a while now.
"Okay," Rosé said as she took a sip of her latte, raising an eyebrow at me. "You dragged me out here for something big, didn't you? Spill it."
I hesitated, twirling the spoon in my cup before blurting out, "I want to propose to Jennie."
Rosé almost choked on her drink. She coughed, her eyes wide as she stared at me. "Wait, what? Lisa, you've been official for, what, a week? Isn't this a little... soon?"
"I know, I know," I said quickly, raising my hands defensively. "But, Rosie, I've known for a long time that Jennie's the one. I've waited long enough. I need to tie her down—before someone else tries to take her away."
Rosé sighed, setting her cup down and giving me a pointed look. "First of all, tie her down? Really, Lisa? Jennie isn't going anywhere. She's head over heels for you. If you haven't noticed, she looks at you like you hung the moon. Relax."
"I can't," I admitted, leaning back in my chair. "Every time I think about it, I get this knot in my stomach. I know she loves me, but I also know how many people are probably waiting for us to mess this up. I don't want to give anyone the chance."
Rosé shook her head, a small smile tugging at her lips. "You're such a hopeless romantic. But seriously, you don't have to rush this. Jennie is crazy about you. I've never seen her this happy. Trust that."
I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "It's not just about trust, though. It's about making sure she knows I'm serious—about us, about our future. I've never been this sure about anything in my life, Rosie."
Rosé leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand as she studied me. "You're really not going to change your mind about this, are you?"
I shook my head. "Nope. So, will you help me or not?"
She rolled her eyes but smiled. "Fine. Let's talk rings. What does Jennie like?"
"I was thinking something simple but elegant," I said, pulling out my phone to show her a few designs I'd been looking at. "She doesn't like anything too flashy, but it still needs to be special, you know?"
Rosé nodded, scrolling through the options. "Okay, these are nice. But, Lisa, have you thought about maybe customizing something? Something that really represents the two of you?"
I blinked at her. "I didn't think about that."
"Well, think about it now," she said, smirking. "Jennie's not just anyone. She deserves something one-of-a-kind. You could include something meaningful, like a little engraving or a design inspired by something important to both of you."
I nodded slowly, already picturing it in my mind. "That's a good idea. But how do I make sure it's perfect?"
Rosé gave me a reassuring smile. "You already know her better than anyone else. Trust your instincts. And maybe ask her sister Jisoo for some input. She'll definitely have opinions."
I groaned. "Jisoo's going to tease me relentlessly."
"Oh, absolutely," Rosé said, laughing. "But it'll be worth it. Besides, you'll need her approval if you want Jennie to say yes."
I frowned. "You think she might say no?"
Rosé reached across the table to smack my arm lightly. "Lisa, are you blind? Jennie would follow you to the ends of the earth. The girl is so in love with you it's almost sickening. Just don't mess up the proposal, and you're golden."
