The starry night sky hovers over the Black Pearl, the calm wind surrounding the flying ship in its gentle waves.
Y/n picks up the letter she had just finished writing and neatly folds it into a small roll. Upon Jimin's agreement, she had wasted no time in writing the letter to her close companion back in the Empire.
While it would be easy for her to enter through the wards of the Empire, she still needs to meet up with her companions to gather information on what exactly has become of her kingdom under the greedy rule of her good-for-nothing uncle. This all needs to be done quickly but quietly, without him getting an ear of her arrival. Or she would be left with no other choice than to walk into the palace and declare war.
That is the last thing she wants to do in Jimin's presence. She is truly glad he had given her space to write this letter. She has always appreciated him for respecting her privacy. But she does not know what she would say if he asked any questions.
Pushing back the chair of the reading area in the corner of her room, she stands up and hides the letter in her dress pocket. Throwing on Jimin's silk coat which he had left in her bed, she walks out of her room. Clicking the door shut behind her, she beelines towards the stairs leading to the quarterdeck where she knows she will find him.
True to her words, she finds him there. But not on the wheel, or his usual sitting place on the railing of the ship. No, today he has decided to make the top of the tallest mast his sitting spot. At first, it is hard for her to spot him. But then she sees his dangling boots from the crow's nest on top of one of the masts.
A few months ago when she arrived on this ship, her heart would almost beat out of her ribcage whenever she would spot him dangling in mid-air with only ropes supporting his weight. But she has learned to accept it is Park Jimin she is talking about. This man's core strength is nothing to joke about.
Now that she is here, she notices very less sailors walking about. The early hustle of the unhinged competition featuring all the naked men has died down and it is quieter on the deck.
"Precious?"
Y/n perks up at the heavy voice and turns around to see Taehyung step up into the quarterdeck. The sight of him has an idea pop inside her head and she flashes him a bright smile.
"Tae," She walks up to him and comes to a stop a bit closer to his tall figure. While Taehyung innocently stares down at her, she blinks her lashes up at him. "Wanna get in trouble?"
Just by the mention of those familiar words, Taehyung knows he is in for a ride. Those are the magic words she uses when she is up to no good. And how does he know that? Because he is always by her side, passionately involved in said trouble, being just as much of a troublemaker as the little minx.
"What are we getting in trouble for?" He raises an eyebrow and watches as she stares into his soul with sparkling doe eyes.
At his words, she flashes him that smile that showcases her dimples. The sight is so pretty that for a moment, he is left completely blind.
