Finally, after an exhausting week of detention, sleepless nights meticulously planning the tryouts, and stolen moments with Hermione in random closets around the castle, Saturday arrived at last. The day of the Hufflepuff Quidditch tryouts.

Bea was up before the sun, stepping onto the pitch by 7:30 a.m. despite the tryouts not starting until 9. The early morning air was crisp, the grass still wet with dew, and the stadium eerily quiet, just the way she liked it. She needed this time to focus, to ensure everything was in place. She had meticulously planned every detail of the tryouts, but knowing Bea, perfection wasn't just an expectation; it was a necessity.

The pitch had to look immaculate, the equipment properly arranged, and the drills ready to run smoothly. It wasn't just about finding the best players; it was about setting the tone for the team, a team she was determined to lead to victory this year.

By 8:45, the first candidates began trickling onto the field, their voices breaking the quiet. Bea glanced up from her clipboard, her sharp eyes scanning the group. The sight of her friends, Hannah, Susan, and Leanne, approaching together brought a brief smile to her lips.

— Ready to fight for your spots? — Bea teased as they joined her.

— Fight for our spots? — Hannah grinned, tossing her hair over her shoulder. — Please, Bea, you already know I'm your best Chaser.—

Susan smirked. — And who else is going to take on Beater duty with Leanne if not us?—

Leanne playfully bumped Susan with her shoulder. — Exactly. We're irreplaceable. —

Bea arched an eyebrow. — Confidence is cute, but I'm not going easy on any of you just because we're friends.—

— Wouldn't expect anything less,— Susan replied, crossing her arms with a determined grin.

The rest of the students were now gathering on the pitch, some chatting nervously, others looking pale as they stole glances at Bea. She had built a reputation over the years, strict, focused, and utterly unrelenting when it came to Quidditch. She intended to carry on Cedric's legacy, but with her own brand of leadership.

At precisely 9:00 a.m., Bea blew her whistle, and the chatter ceased instantly. She stepped forward, clipboard in hand, her posture confident and commanding.

— Welcome to the Hufflepuff Quidditch tryouts.— she began, her voice clear and firm. —You're here because you think you've got what it takes to be part of this team. Let me make one thing clear, Hufflepuff Quidditch is not for the faint of heart. We work hard, we fight harder, and we leave everything on the pitch.—

She let her gaze sweep across the group, pausing briefly on her friends, who smirked back at her. Then she continued, — Today isn't about who's good. It's about who's great. You'll be tested physically, mentally, and as a team player. So, if you're here just to wear the robes and look pretty, I suggest you leave now.—
