The Hufflepuff common room was alive with celebration. Golden streamers hung from the ceiling, mingling with the house colors of yellow and black. The crackling fire in the hearth added a warm, inviting glow to the room, reflecting the jubilant mood of its occupants. Cheers and laughter echoed off the stone walls as students crowded around, their faces alight with excitement and pride.

In the center of the room stood Cedric Diggory and Beatrice, the champions of Hufflepuff. They were the stars of the night, surrounded by their housemates who couldn't stop cheering and congratulating them. Cedric, ever the gentleman, wore a modest smile as he shook hands and accepted pats on the back. Bea, her cheeks flushed with happiness, shared a warm hug with Hannah and exchanged grins with Justin and Leanne.

— Three cheers for Cedric and Beatrice! — shouted Ernie Macmillan, raising his goblet high. The room erupted into a chorus of cheers, the sound almost lifting the roof off the cozy common room.

— To our champions! — echoed another Hufflepuff, her voice full of pride.

Cedric and Beatrice exchanged a glance, their smiles growing wider. The journey to this moment had been filled with challenges and triumphs, and now, they stood together, basking in the glory of their hard-earned success. The common room buzzed with energy, the Hufflepuffs united in their celebration of the courage and skill their champions had displayed.

After a bit, Bea began to feel the exhaustion set in. The adrenaline from the tournament and the excitement of the celebration were starting to wear off, leaving her longing for a moment of quiet. She couldn't help but notice the absence of one of her best friends, Susan Bones. The hurt of Susan's absence gnawed at her heart. Ever since Bea's name had been chosen for the tournament, Susan had been distant, ignoring her and avoiding any interaction.

As Bea chatted with Theo, who had been warmly welcomed into the common room by the Hufflepuffs as her boyfriend, she couldn't shake the sadness that Susan's absence brought. Theo's supportive presence was a comfort, but the missing piece of her friendship with Susan left a void.

— You're amazing, you know that? — Theo said, squeezing her hand gently.

— Thanks, Theo, — Bea replied, smiling up at him. — I'm just glad it's over for now. —

Just as she was about to say more, Bea felt a gentle touch on her shoulder. She turned to find Susan standing there, her face etched with a look of guilt and uncertainty.

— Hey, Bea, — Susan said softly, her voice barely audible over the noise of the celebration.

Bea's heart skipped a beat. — Susan! Hi. —

Susan shifted uncomfortably, her eyes avoiding Bea's. — Can we talk? I... I owe you an apology.—

Theo gave Bea an encouraging nod and stepped back to give them some privacy. Bea turned fully to face Susan, the noise of the party fading into the background.
