As we set at the Game Station, our two favorite and underrated Critters Catnap and Dogday, holding their paws with each other, looking ahead for their brand new adventure.
Dogday
"Why does it feel so different? That last time I was here was all calm," I said. "That's because you know something here is going to hurt you. That is called fear," Catnap explained. "Fear huh? Normally I feel cheerful but this feeling... it feels alien to me," I said. "You know, I experienced fear before. When the employees abuse me, when the Hour of Joy happened, and when I keep thinking that I'll lose you. There was never a day where I never felt fear," Catnap said. It is true. Since I slept with him, he always hugged me tightly, never letting me go. He always looks tired, meaning he's been awake during the night. "I've been thinking Catnap, were you awake every night? I've been noticing that you were sleeping less," I asked.
"I was...just looking out for you. You and our kids," Catnap admitted. "I get it Catnap, I do. But remember, I don't plan on leaving your side. We're together now. The moon and the sun can never be apart," I said. "You got that right, now we have a mission to do," Catnap said. "Yeah, to find Prototype's weakness," I said confidently. The lights suddenly turn on as we walk into the Game Station. We were on high alert and looked at our surroundings, looking at each other's backs. "Either this place lights up automatically...". "Or Mommy knows we're here," Catnap said. "Heh, we're not even five minutes into this place and my heart is already racing. Either I'm scared or excited," I said. We walked in front of all the game entrances and I felt guilt all of a sudden. "Dogday, I can feel your sadness. Do you want to tell me?" Catnap asked.
"... It's just, I wish I could see how Bunzo or PJ is doing. I haven't seen them in a month," I said unhappily. "...How about this. Once we're done here, we'll return and take them to our home. But you're taking PJ, there's no way I'll let him get on my back," Catnap said. "Pfff haha, okay, okay, deal. Come on, time is wasting and we need to make the most of it," I said. I could see that Catnap was smiling back at me. That's nice of him since he only wants me to smile. We kept walking towards the exit of the Game Station until we found 3 round tubes. "I guess we need to climb up," I said. "My claws will be effective but I don't know about you," Catnap said.
"Take off the rope, go up, and throw it down. Use mine as well so we can tie it around my body and you can lift me," I said. "Good idea," Catnap said. He removed the rope around his body and placed the cardboard box on the floor. I also took off the rope and box of me and gave it to Catnap. He sharpened his claws and started climbing on the tubes. I could hear the faint grunts and scratching from the inside. "You okay there?" I asked. "Uhhh, So far so good. I'm almost there though," he answered. "Be careful though," I said worriedly.
Just out of nowhere, the rope came down falling. "Pretty fast don't you think?" Catnap said overconfidence. I grabbed the rope and wrapped it around my waist. "I'm pretty sure Hoppy is the fast one. You're just asking for a race against her," I shouted. The rope wrapped around my waist tight to ensure it was safe. "Okay, you can lift me now," I yelled. He quickly pulled me up and I was just grabbing the sides of the tubes to get up easier.
I finally reached the top, where Catnap was still holding the rope, ensuring I didn't fall. He looked at me puzzled, and I looked back at him, confused as to what he was thinking. "Is there something on my face?" I asked. "No it is not that, it's just...you're not as heavy as you used to," Catnap said. "...Are you calling me fat?" I asked. "No, no, no. I wouldn't call you fat. I would call you chubby than fat but what I'm saying is...that you're eating less than usual," Catnap said worriedly. "You know we have to eat to the bare minimum," I said. Catnap didn't say anything because he knew I was right. "Let's just keep going. There should be something up ahead that'll help us," I said. I grabbed my piece of the rope and Catnap grabbed his. We continued walking until he arrived at another big room and an intersection. I look around my surroundings and see another door. There was a name on top of the door named 'Elliot Ludwig'. "Catnap, look at this," I called out.
