Emily POV:
The way of how me and Percy fell in love with each other last night, of how we both pressed our lips together and kissed like there was no tomorrow, I felt like a weight was lifted of my shoulders. I AM a fighter, but maybe I am also a lover. As I slept in bed with Percy, I rested my head on his chest, and kept one arm on his biceps, and the other on his back, not caring if they felt numb or asleep. And as so, I slept happily in his arms.
When I woke, I saw Percy snoring with half his face buried in the pillow, and he was practically drooling right now, which was actually hilarious I tried not to laugh. As I looked around the room, I saw how he was an Assassin, but yet he was also still young, about high school age. I didn't judge it though, I joined the Assassins long ago, and i remember in the Assassin's history books that Ezio joined the Assassins when he was 17, after the death of his father and brothers. I looked up above Percy's Camaro calendar, which was struck with throwing darts, and I looked at the time on his clock.
9:35 A.M.
I suddenly realized that I overslept, 'oh... God' I thought. I was supposed to report to Master Tabai in exactly ten minutes. So I raced out of bed, and I was still in my tank top and underwear, and I had to hurry up and get my clothes back on. Soon I was fully dressed again, and I pulled my hood over my head. I opened the window to the fire escape, and before I left, I heard a small knocking on Percy's door, and I heard his mother's sweet voice. "Percy? Percy are you awake? I made you breakfast". I looked at Percy, and he was about to wake. I thought of how Percy's life seemed good, and I thought of how I wished I lived that life with him. But I really did want to hear his embarrassing stories from his mom, sadly I had no time. I closed the window gently, and used my rope launcher and shot a grappling hook across the other building, tied it on the railing, strapped my hand on tightly, and slid down to the building. 'I'm gonna be late' I thought to myself. But luckily I would be there in no time.
***Later***
Good news; I was able to get back to the Bureau safely and without breaking a sweat.
Bad news; I got there ten minutes late. I new I should've taken the subway train there on Fifth Avenue. When I got there, Master Tabai, was sitting at his desk, attending to his laptop, where he was having a video chat with Agent Steve Schmidt, one of the FBI's best agent and a close ally to the brotherhood. "Yes, Agent Schmidt " Master Tabai said, "the weapons were about to be delivered to Abstergo, by that ex-mercenary, Kano. We've left the weapons there for your squad to pick up and retrieve, and Kano has been eliminated, How many times do I have to tell you"? "Yes, you have told me already, but I need total verification to see if this WAS Abstergo related" said Agent Schmidt, "I just need a little more data I can get on Abstergo, and hopefully shut them down. But next time, your Assassins should be more discreet though, this was in the middle of an alleyway in public areas. Innocent civilians could've gotten hurt or killed, and my boss is getting suspicious about it. Thank you again Master Tabai". "Of course, Agent Schmidt. Goodbye" Master Tabai last said, before closing his laptop up. He sighed, rubbed the temple of his forehead, and said "you're late Emily". I let a slow breath out, bowed and replied "so sorry Master Tabai. I woke late and came as fast as I could". Master Tabai got up from his desk, taking hold of his cane and stood up. "It is quite alright. I don't mind you come late, but it's just that I want to expect the best from you. And now after that little talk from Agent Schmidt, I have a mission for you". "Yes"? I asked. Master Tabai walked towards his cabinet, where he keeps his sorted papers and files together, along with an old leathery map of the world. Which is pinned with certain Assassin Bureaus and safe houses. But also pinned for Templar hiding spots and Abstergo Industries buildings. One of the pins was identified with a question mark, and it was on Acre, one of the places Altair travelled to. Other than that, he opened his cabinet, and pulled out a file, and I easily saw it was the file me and Percy got from our mission with the words P.O.E. Project. He sat back down at his desk, opened up the file, and took out certain papers and spread them out on his desk. I took a close look at them, and they I saw they were about Jerusalem, close to where the very first Assassin Bureau, and they all had 'Piece of Eden #38'. Wait! The Pieces of Eden? I thought those were myths through Assassin and Templar history, and #38? How many Pieces of Eden are there? "What is this"? I asked, as I looked closer at the papers. And as I examined them, they pointed out to some sort of secret ritual. "This is one of the secret files from the Templars that they've discovered in the Muslim texts" Master Tabai said, "they all point to a ritual which was done in the 11th century before the Assassins were even born. In this case, a sacrificial ritual. And there have been few reports by our spies in Abstergo that they've gotten information about this ritual in some other files, which lead to some kind of prophecy, and the ritual will happen to take place within a week or so". "But why does the ritual start within a week? And why in this era"? I asked. Just as then, he pulled out another paper, but this was in an old scroll type, as the paper was torn on both the top and bottom, and had the faint scent of sort of lemon. The paper was wrapped in see through plastic, and I looked at the papers. The text was in Arabian language, which I had no idea what was written, but it was in order, like rules, or... Instructions. "Well, you see on that paper, translated, is the instructions of how the ritual was done. It was done when someone called the prophet was beholden a Piece of Eden. In this case, a Bow of Eden. It was used to open a Templar vault hidden beneath Solomon's Temple. Nobody knows what the vault contains, but the Templars have been trying to open it ever since St. Bernard of Clairvaux built and locked it. It was found to be only opened with first civilization power. There's two things to open it; the Bow of Eden, and a sacrifice. The sacrifice must be set on a sacrificial table, and once they bleed, the blood must soak a the bow's handle. It will provide the prophet power to open the vault". All of this came to be confusing for me, but I think I knew what I had to do. "So what I want you to do Emily. Is to travel to Jerusalem, find Solomon's Temple, find the secret vault and ritual, and hopefully find the Piece of Eden. If any Templars get in both of your ways, end them". I bowed once more, and replied "of course Master Tabai, I will... Wait, BOTH". "Of course" I heard someone say. I turned behind myself, and saw my sister Elizabeth standing by the door, with her hood down. "Master Tabai had this talk with me earlier. The both of us are doing this mission together lil' sis". She stepped in and we both stood together. Both of were different aged, with Izzy being older than me, but I was taller than her by two inches. Me and my sister were alike actually, just different personalities though. "As Elizabeth said, you both are going to Jerusalem to find this temple and acquire the Piece of Eden. However... I cannot grant you access to any air nor aquatic travel. So you will have to get there by land. There is an SUV prepare for you in the parking garage, on parking space #137. Inside the dashboard is a GPS, along with personal handheld devices to keep in touch, $600 cash, American and Arabian. You two may pack up now, and I hope you two have great hopes for the future". "Thank you Master Tabai" we both said in unison. "Come on Emily" Izzy said, But as me and Izzy were about to walk out of the office, I stopped in my tracks, but Izzy kept walking off towards her sleeping quarters, until she turned and asked "Emily? Something wrong"? "Nothing" I replied, "Just go on, I'll catch up with you". She nodded, and turned back walking down to her quarters. I just then thought of Percy, and that if I just left him, even though we both made up as a couple, I think it would hurt his feeling for leaving. But maybe if I asked Master Tabai for permission to let Percy on this mission, then it would make us both feel better. Plus to have him on his second mission. I turned and Master Tabai was now looking down at his papers, and writing over with his pen. I didn't know what he would say if I asked to have Percy along, but there's possibly no way he would say no... Right? I slowly breathed out, I stepped back into his office and stood in front of his desk, as Master Tabai took no notice and continued on with his papers. "Master Tabai"? "Yes"? He replied, his eyes still on his papers. "May I ask for a request? For the mission"? He looked up for a second, nodding and looked back down at his papers. "Of course. What is it you require"? I paced forward once and put my hands together. "If it is allowed... May... I bring Percy along on the-". "No" Master Tabai answered, cutting my sentence off. "I am sorry, but the answer is no".
"But Master, Please"!
"This conversation is over".
And with that, he got up, grabbing his cane, and walking towards his shelf putting the file back on it. "Why not"? I asked, "why can I not have Percy on the mission? It'll be good for him to get used to the Assassins". He then turning around to face me, "because, he is yet but a young apprentice to you. He joined our brotherhood only a month ago, he is skilled but he lacks the best. You ARE the best, since I've trained and raised since you and your sister for a long time, making you my favoured students, which I make only you two the ones for this mission". He put a hand on my shoulder, and said in a calm voice "I've been losing Assassins to the Templars for a long time, and if Percy does care to you so much, I cannot risk for his loss to you. Or to lose any of you. Do you understand"? I looked down at my own feet, thinking, 'he's right'. Master Tabai IS right. I thought of my feeling for Percy, since we both fell for each other just last night. I had strong feeling for Percy, and I now know that if I bring Percy on this mission, it is a risk for his life. He's strong, powerful, and skilled, but he'd never survive against an army of Templars. "Emily"? He asked, I looked back up, nodded, and said "yes... I understand". He took his hand of my shoulder, and sat back down at his desk. "Thank you for understanding. You may now pack up". I nodded once more, and walked out of his office, and walked down the hall towards my quarters. I thought all of this through; I became Percy's mentor when he first joined, then his friend, and now his girlfriend. I just wished I could bring Percy on this mission, but I respected Master Tabai's wisdom, so I let it fly. I had no worries for my mission, and neither did Izzy, but against an army of Templars, to find the Bow of Eden before a sacrificial ritual, and bring it back to the Bureau, that got my heart raising. So what else is coming my way?!
