Emily POV:
The more I become active in my missions, the more I become more focused and alive, hoping to become powerful and legendary like Altair or Ezio. I wanted Percy to know this feeling, since he's more than a 17 year old teen, who was framed for blowing up a national monument, framed for kidnapping and a blowing up a school, twice. I knew Percy had potential, as he helped to take down Kano Dardanelles and his ex-mercenaries, though I just didn't want to admit that this was MY mission. I just wanted him to feel special in the brotherhood, since he was involved in his first mission. After a half hour drive back from the mission to the Bureau, I thought to myself, 'Percy's perfect for us. Maybe perfect for me'. I didn't know if I officially like Percy when I think of him (as a friend. I don't have a crush on him. I just admire how he fights easily). But, I'm not sure if I do or don't have a crush on him, or even if he likes me.
I had to shake these thoughts out of my head, and had to realize that I'm just an Assassin, a fighter, not a lover, just like my older sister. I drove down into the secret parking lot, which was technically an old abandoned service tunnel, rebuilt into a parking lot for the Assassin's garage and parked the Assassin SUV. I walked down to the library, where Shaun Hastings was researching on his laptop at his private desk. All over he wall were a few of his file papers, architect and symbol pictures, and even a few links that I recognized as the 'Pieces of Eden'. "Shaun"? He turned, and I saw him still wearing his ugly sweater from his grandma, which he still didn't have the heart to give it back. "Ah, Emilia. I see you've got the files I asked for". I gave him the folder on his desk, and corrected him saying "it's Emily". "Whatever, Eliza" he replied, and starting to place the file in his filing cabinet. "See Shaun, this is why you can't get good with Rebecca anyways". "I-I don't know what you're talking about" "whatever Shaun. Enjoy your papers". He sighed, and palmed his forehead, not saying another word. As I was walking out of the library, I noticed master Tabai walking past the doorway, walking with his golden cane, which I knew exactly was his hidden sword/gun. I walked up to him and said "Master Tabai. I finished my mission with Percy. And the guns are back with the FBI". Tabai looked down at the floor, looking as though depressed, and said "good Emily. Very good". I knew something was very wrong, why else would he look depressed? "What is wrong Master Tabai"? He looked back at me, and said "there's no need to call me 'master' Emily. And... There's something that's needed for talking in private with you. Come with me". "Yes, Ma-uh... Tabai", and I followed him into his head office, and I locked the door as I closed it. Tabai sat down at his desk, setting his cane aside, and rubbed his forehead. "What is it"? He organized his papers, folded them, and set them aside on his desk. "Emily, I've raised you and Elizabeth ever since after your home burned down, and I was lucky to see you grow up, treating you like my own daughter. And I've always told you the secrets I always kept, and about the brotherhood. But..." He turned around, and looked out from the window, and down at the Assassin's council room. "What's wrong"? I asked. He sighed, and turned back around, saying "it's just that... I've been headmaster of the Assassin Brotherhood for a long time, and I won't be alive for long. And I have decided to confess to the people I've lived to see. Some have died, many lived, including you. And there's something I need to tell you about, and this is VERY important". "Yes"? I asked. "The thing is... The Templars... They're not our only known enemies". I raised a brow. "What do you mean"? "You see Emily, another group is known to live amongst society. Actually, away from society, in the wilderness of forests and the wild. They hunt, live, and fight. But the weird thing is, they're young, and all young girls, and only girls who hate men. At first when the Assassins came across them, they hated all of us, and killed us all by hunting. They're very strong and skilled at the bow and combat. They call themselves, the 'Hunters of Artemis', which we find unusual, but they say they dedicate themselves to the Greek goddess Artemis. And yet, this is way more unusual than the Templars. Like I said, they're young, about ten to sixteen, they all wear silver clothing, and their symbol is a silver bow and arrow. As far as the last time we encountered them". The more he talked about these 'Hunters of Artemis', the more I became confused and confused about this. 'Who are they? And why do they hate the Assassins'? I thought in my head. "Master Tabai. I don't understand. A: Why do they hate us? And B: what is it about them, when they hunt in the wilderness"? He sighed, "I do not know, but they have hated us, ever since one of our Assassins in the 18th century discovered them, after the ending of the French Revolution. The Assassin wouldn't tell why we suddenly became rivals with them, but whenever we come across them, we always fight, and always battle, which isn't much of a priority rather than fighting the Templars". I seemed to know this feeling of battle, but probably this was different, for a fight between the Assassins and Hunters. "But why, tell me this" I last asked. "Because I want this to end, before I die. So that we won't have have to fight, but become allies rather than enemies. They have skills which we would need, and they could help. It may not work, but I'd want this all of this to end between the hunters. We'd make great allies". I seemed to understand the hunter more, that they hate us, and we need to get them to un-hate us. "So... You want me to fix our rivalry"? Master Tabai nodded, "that is all I ask. Both you AND Elizabeth, to fix something that happened five generations ago". "Even if the deal with the Templars took about a century"? Master Tabai suddenly shot a sour look at me, which I realized I said the wrong words. "I apologize master". He raised his hand slightly, and said "it's quite alright Emily, not every mistake can be fixed instantly, it's either sooner or later. Maybe even decades. This is all I want before I die". I sorted this out, and I wanted to do this for him. Besides, Master Tabai raised me and Elizabeth like a family, rather than as members of the Assassins. "If that is what you want" I said, "I'll do it". He gave a faint warm smile, which I liked seeing from time to time, especially when he adopted me and my sister Elizabeth. "Thank you Emily, you have no idea how much this means to me. If you help to succeed this request for me, then it won't just give gratitude to me, but to all the Assassin's Brotherhood". I made a small bow, and said "of course, I won't let you down". "Oh I'm counting on it" he said, "I just have great hoped you'll succeed to do it" and he still had his warm smile, "you are dismissed now", and then he began to attend to his papers again. I nodded, turned, and walked towards the door. Just as I opened it, and almost walked out of Master Tabai's office, I heard him call me one last time; "and Emily"? I turned, and asked "yes"? He put the pencil down, and last said "I can see the look on your face when you see Percy. If you want my advice, don't go on with your life without him, whether if it's your duty or not. So be with him if you want to". I slightly smiled, and I decided to take that advice. "Thank you", I last spoke, and walked out of the office, closing the door behind me.
As I walked down the hall, to the training room, I kept thinking of what Master Tabai said. 'Don't go on with your life without him'. So if I really convince my mind that I have feelings for Percy, then I'll go for it.
