Percy POV:
I woke with in a flash. It felt like just a few seconds after me and Emily fell asleep together in my bed. I rub my eyes, trying to get the sleep out of them. I look besides me, where Emily slept next to me, and she was nowhere buried underneath the covers. I fussed she woke up earlier and left. I couldn't blame her, she always liked to stay on track with her duties, but so do I. "Percy"? I heard my mom call, "Percy, I made you breakfast"! Like I said, I like to focus on my duties, but breakfast really IS the most important meal of the day. I threw the covers off of me, and I looked at the time, 9:40 A.M., I guess I really got stuck in sleep. Thanks a lot Hypnos. "Percy, are you awake yet"? I rubbed my eyes once more and replied "yeah". "I made you your favourites. Blue pancakes with blueberry juice". OH YES! Most favourite blue food of all time. "Alright, I'll be right out in a few" I said, as I threw the covers off, and started pulling out my clothes, a black t-shirt, with a faded jeans, black converse, and a white hoodie with red lining. I find it made me look more incognito when I walk through the streets as an Assassin, but I read that there was someone who dressed exactly like this; the modern hero Desmond Miles. Other than that, I looked better than in my shirt and boxers. I walked out of my room, and walked into the kitchen. "Morning mom". I said, as I saw my mom cooking blue pancakes on the stove. I gave her a kiss on the cheek and she replied "good morning Percy". I sat down at the table, and there was a stack of blue pancakes, blueberries on the side, and blueberry juice on the side. If it was a huge stack of blue pancakes, I'd know I died and gone to Elysium. I sliced into my pancakes and took a bite. "So how are you feeling Percy"? My mom asked. "Fine, I'm good" I replied, stuffing my face with another bite of pancakes. "So what was going on last night in your room"? I gulped down my pancakes, but not because of the food, but about the question. "Nothing, everything was fine". I mom just smiled and said "oh come on dear, I know something was going on". I knew she'd say this, my mom wasn't someone who could be fooled easily, especially when I figured out I was a demigod. "Like I said mom, nothing happened, I just banged my toe a bit, but I'm alright". Cross my fingers she'll buy it. "Well, alright dear" my mom finally said. Whew, that was a close one. "Oh and by the way Percy, I got a letter in the mail earlier, and you should read it". I set my fork aside and looked at her.
"Annabeth"?
"Olympus".
Wait! What do the gods need this time? Not that I'm complaining. My mom walked to the coffee table and picked up a letter, and handed it to me. It was a normal envelope, except it had an old fashioned wax sealing, with the Olympus omega symbol. I opened the letter up, and read the letter.
"Perseus S. Jackson:
You are expected to the Olympian council temple today at 11:00 A.M. Do not be too late or we will send Hermes to find you and bring you to the temple. We will expect you and your friends.
From: Lord Zeus".
I folded the letter back up, and set it aside. "What did it say Percy"? My mom asked. I sighed, and replied "Zeus wants me to head to Olympus today at eleven".
"What do they want"?
"I don't know, they didn't say".
"Well alright Percy, once you're done, you should head there right away".
"Okay mom" I last said, as my mom went to the sink and doing the dishes, and I went back to eating heaven.
Once I was done, I put the fork down. Got up and gave my mom a kiss on the cheek before walking out of the door, "alright, bye mom". "Bye dear". I walked out and took a cab to the Empire State Building.
After a twenty minute drive, I walked in and saw nobody walking in or out. Only the security guard reading a New York Times paper. I walked up and said "600th floor please". He looked up from the paper for a second, and went back to reading his paper. "There is no 600th floor kid. You must be a tourist". "I'm sure Lord Zeus would let me up". He did not give me another look, but replied "well Lord Zeus seems to be busy the last time I heard, and I'm sure he wouldn't let-" I grabbed my message and held it up for him to see, saying "Zeus disagrees". He lowered his paper down, and his eyes followed the message. "Oh boy kid, you're walking into a world of hurt". "I've done it a few times before anyways". He scoffed, and grabbed a gold key card out of the desk drawer and gave it to me. I then walked into an empty elevator, unfortunately, a business guy in a suit walked in and pressed the button to the 68th floor. I waited for a minute before the elevator made a ding and the doors opened up as the guy walked out. I looked both ways to make sure anybody wasn't gonna walk in. The coast was clear, so I put the gold key card in, and the 600th floor button appeared. I pressed it and the doors closed. Nothing like listening to terrible elevator music that even Apollo would hate, Burn, baby burn. A few minutes later, and the doors opened up revealing Olympus. The Pegasus flew freely, the Dryads and demigods roaming the streets as the Satyrs played their reed pipes. The shops were opened, one selling new Hercules Busts Heads thermos', another selling reed pipes of different types of wood, and another selling carpets with the godly symbols sewn in gold. Olympus always was beautiful, even if you've been here hundreds of times. I walked up the steps to the Olympian palace, with a few demigods and nymphs noticing and admiring me. I guess it really does pay off to be a hero. I made it to the steps of the palace, and I walked in pushing the doors opened. And I saw the twelve Olympians seated on their thrones at their godly sizes. Zeus, my father, and Hera were sitting amongst their three centre thrones, and even Hades was sitting in a permanent waiting chair, bored out of his mind. Also I noticed that Thalia was standing by Artemis's throne in her silver and camouflage clothes. And both Zeus and Hera stared down at me with a distasteful look on their faces, and my father shot glares at them. But nothing compares to the deathly glare Ares and Artemis were shooting at me. I figured Ares was always like this for over five-to-six years, but Artemis never gave a kind of glare angrier than Ares. Sure, she hated men, but never did she look like this.
"Perseus Jackson stand by your father. We will begin the conversation when the others arrive". "Of course, but I don't know why I'm here anyways-". "We'll get to that when the other arrive AS I SAID". This time I listened and decided not to say another word, and I walked towards my father's throne, standing next to him. And I stared into the fire, thinking of how Hestia controls the Greek Fire of Olympus, and how she favours the demigods without wanting to blast them, and how she wishes me as her champion. I know it sounds stupid to think about that, but still I had nothing to do but stand by my father, but thinking of Hestia as the kindest goddess, I always thought SHE should've been the true queen of Olympus. A few minutes later, the doors opened up again, this time, I saw old faces, and new looks. As the people walked in, I smiled as I saw my old friends. Jason, Piper, Frank, Hazel, and... No way... Leo Valdez! Back from the dead, and back home. And all of them looked more older and mature. Jason was now starting to grow a blonde beard, discontinued from his scar, and his imperial gold glasses gleamed in the light of the hearth. Piper dyed part of her hair blue, and she seemed two inches taller to Jason. Leo had grown his hair longer, some of it in a ponytail, and he actually had marker writings on his skin, with a flaming hammer, and underneath it said "BAD BOY". Frank had a small stubble, and had an inch longer of hair, and a bit muscular than usual. Hazel had grown two to three inches taller, and had her frizzy brown hair pulled back in a bun, revealing her golden Hazel eyes. It felt good to see my friends again, but the last person to walk in was my old girlfriend Annabeth, sending a gulp of guilt in my throat. And as she saw me she smiled brightly, her stormy grey eyes widened, and she started running to me. "Percy"! She squealed in joy, which I never seen her like. She jumped and tackled me to the ground, and she laid a simple kiss to my lips. I was surprised at first, knowing that I already have a new girlfriend, but the way of how Athena is protective for her daughter, I was afraid to break her heart and have Athena blast me. I kissed back, and closed my eyes. "WOO WOO"!! I heard Leo call out, "make out session here"! Glad to hear Leo's still kind of a knucklehead. Me and Annabeth pulled back, realizing we were actually kissing in front of the twelve gods. We got up and Annabeth said "I missed you so much Percy" as she held me tightly into a bear hug. "I missed you too". Zeus cleared his throat, and we paid attention. "Now that these two have started their reunion, we shall begin this meeting. Stand by your divine parents and we will talk". Everyone nodded, and they all walked and stood by their godly parents. Jason walked past me, and gave me a pat on the shoulder. "Good to see you man". We all stood with our parents, and the meeting began. Zeus spoke first. "Now as we are all well aware, you are all wondering why we have summoned all of you here". We all nodded. "But you might as well not have guessed already why you were summoned. Because we need the best for a certain mission". Piper raised her hand. "Please don't tell me we're involved in ANOTHER war". "Of course not" Zeus replied. "You are all selected because we require a quest. But this is beyond what you'd think. For there is a prophecy that we find is bound to happen by hand of the fates:
Half-Bloods and Mortals will unite and prevail. All to follow the Assassin's trail.
Hunters and Assassins will unite in peace. The war and battle put aside to cease.
All shall lead their travel past the land of gods. And shall retrieve what was lost, at all odds.
One will be lost in the betrayal of family. Mortals, Half-Bloods, and Hunters shall live in harmony".
Wait! Did the prophecy just mention the Assassins? The Hunters? What did the prophecy mean 'to follow the Assassin's trail'. Jason spoke and asked "but what does the prophecy have to do with all of us"? "I'm glad you asked that  Jason. Because this quest if meant to find a certain ancient object-". "My bow" Artemis said, as she shot up from her throne. Zeus made a grumble, but paid no mind to it, which made me think that this is probably the one time he's ever been this calm. "No offence given" Leo said, "by why are supposed  to try and find just a normal old bow"? "Because boy, this is not just a normal old bow. It is a know ancient relic with power as much as ours, and could possibly kill a Gods, Titans, possibly even Giants". We all looked at each other thinking the same thing. 'What kind of bow would have a power like that'? "Yes, yes, yes. You are all thinking the same thing I can see" Zeus said. "But there is more relics with the same power as Artemis's bow. Let me tell you about the bow." An image appeared over the hearth surrounded by a cloud, sort of like a TV, and we all watched as it showed a group of Cyclops forging something over a fire. "You see, the bow is made of a different forgery of metal. It is forged with both celestial bronze, and imperial gold, both deity metals, forged over the fiery forge where even my Master Bolt was created, and blessed by the divine power of us Olympians". The image changed by flashes, of celestial bronze and imperial gold poured into moulds, and another showing the weapon pulled out of the mould all cooled and steaming, and one more of the gods and goddess' chanting words over the object and it glowed a gold light. "These objects were used by our roman aspects, and sometimes found by mortals since the Stone Ages and Middle Ages. By two different types of people, but we currently only know one; and that is the Assassin Order". I was shuddering right now, thinking of exactly why I'm involved in this. "Mortals call it the Pieces of Eden. All created into different objects and weapons, and Artemis's bow is one of those Pieces". "And if it gets into the wrong hands, BOOM! Chaos!! Power!! Madness!! Tyranny!! All of these are too powerful for mortal hands, and caused people to go mad with power" Athena said. "And that's why you all need to find it and retrieve it with care. We have picked all of you because we found you all perfect for this quest. You are the heroes of Olympus. And you will not fail" Athena spoke. "Now for good measure, my Lieutenant, Thalia is joining you on your quest to help us track the object. Any objections"? Artemis said, and had no hands raised in objections "Are there any requests to start this quest"? All of the gods raised their hands, so there's no turning back now. "Good, for now, since you are all unpacked, you may head to your homes, and pack your supplies, clothes, and weapons. Hermes will offer each of you $150 dollars, and 50 drachmas. You will all return here tomorrow near 12:30 here at the council room, and we will prepare a ride for you". "Courtesy of me" Hephaestus said. "Yes, yes. Anyways, get some rest, and pack well. We will inform you of there are any news or not. This meeting is dismissed". All the gods got up from their thrones, and shrunk down to their human sizes. Everyone walked was walking out of the palace, but I got caught up with Annabeth and Thalia. "Glad to see you two back again". Thalia said "Aphrodite's favourite couple, but my two best friends. Glad to see you kelpface". "Yeah, nice to see you too pinecone face". As much as Annabeth liked calling me 'Seaweed Brain', I always called Thalia 'Pinecone Face'. At first when I said it before, she felt offended, but now she's okay with it. "So Percy" Thalia said, "what have you been doing a while"? "Well... I've been working at Sweet on America, where my mom used to work. So I'm good". "Oh really"? Thalia said, with a tone that sounded like doubt. But I couldn't really tell her that I'm an Assassin, especially not in front of Annabeth. "Well, I'll let you two talk for a minute". Annabeth said, as she planted a kiss on my cheek. "I'm gonna go and stay at a friend's place for the night. See you tomorrow guys. Glad to see you again Seaweed Brain". Annabeth walked away and I watched walked out of the palace. "You didn't tell her, didn't you"? Thalia asked. I turned, confused. "What do you mean"? She crossed her arms and had the same doubtful expression. "Come, on. I know who you really are, Assassin". I felt like having a heart attack now. "How did you-". "Lady Artemis told me she had a vision, the night before the bow was stolen, and she found out that you are one of them. So don't play stupid Percy". I sighed, thinking that this had to come sooner or later, but not this early. "But why does Artemis look like she wants to blast me"? "Because-". "THALIA GRACE"!!! We heard the thundering female voice of Artemis. We turned and saw Artemis in her human sized form, stomping towards us and looked more furious than ever. "Do not speak with this boy! Now come with me! You will pack and be on your way"! She grabbed Thalia by her arm, and they were walking out of the palace. "See you tomorrow Perc-" she didn't finish, as Artemis glowed bright, but luckily I looked away and both of them flashed out of Olympus, leaving me at the entrance to the council room. I sighed, and whispered "see you tomorrow Pinecone Face", and I raised my hood over my head. So I have Thalia and Artemis knowing my cover as an Assassin. I might have to reveal my secret. And I have Annabeth back, but already have Emily as my new girlfriend. Great! What else is next?!
