"When was it?"
Alahna and Bonnie had been silent on the way to the pharmacy. They'd also been silent as they scanned the place for the godforesaken stick that could potentially change Bonnie's life. Finally, whilst they were on the queue to pay, Alahna decided to speak.
She couldn't contain it anymore. The loud, nagging part of her needed to know.
Bonnie gulped; she was fidgetting with the rectangular box that contained the pregnancy test. "When I was in England with the band, taking photos." She replied. Her voice was hoarse, like she was holding back tears (which she probably was). "Right after I called you, telling you about... you know." Alahna knew. And she wasn't sure she wanted to hear it all again. "He came into my room, we started to talk and... it just happened."
Alahna nodded slowly. "Can I ask why?"
"I mean, you can." Bonnie replied. "Doesn't mean I'll be able to come up with a good answer."
"Okay, but―"
"It also doesn't change the fact that I helped a man cheat on his fiancée."
"Would you rather I ask you why you slept with Kurt or whether or not you're going to keep the baby if there is one?" Alahna questioned.
Bonnie pressed her lips into a thin line. "Could we just avoid the questions for the time being?" She suggested, her voice quivering. "We don't really know that I'm... nothing's been confirmed yet. This might be nothing."
"Do you really believe that?" Alahna asked her.
She'd heard that sometimes, even before seeing a positive pregnancy test, women had a hunch. She searched her best friend's face, trying to find anything that might indicate that Bonnie somehow knew. But all she saw was terror.

There was no running away from those two treacherous lines. They were a bit faint but denying their existence would've been foolish. The positive test knocked the wind out of Alahna, even when she couldn't imagine a different outcome.
Bonnie was pregnant with Kurt's baby.
Alahna waited a couple seconds before looking at her best friend. Her mouth was partially open and her eyes were glossy. She remained perfectly still for what seemed like forever before shakily sitting down on the toilet (the lid was down, of course). Meanwhile, Alahna still didn't know what to do to make the situation any better. Was that even possible given the circumstances?
