JANUARY 10TH 1992

"Do you realise that today might change your life forever?"

"Are you purposely trying to make me chicken out?"

Alahna looked at herself for the thousandth time in the full body mirror that Bonnie had gotten her as a late Christmas present. She had the urge to change her whole outfit altogether but she wouldn't get to work on time if she did that.

But if anything was certain to make her late if she didn't wrap it up, was talking to Dave on the phone. He was currently in New York with the band and she needed to talk to him before leaving the house just so she wouldn't drive herself mad with anxiety.

This was Alahna's first day back to work after the holidays which meant that she was going to give Anna and Joy a final answer to their offer to help her to get her in contact with the head of that publishing house in L.A.

The answer was obviously yes.

"Absolutely not. You do not get to chicken out." Dave said sternly. "You're gonna march in there and make your dreams come true, are we fucking clear?"

Alahna chuckled. "Crystal clear, darling."

"Good." He replied. "You'll be watching us tomorrow night, right?"

"Oh, didn't I tell you? I was planning to be stuck in traffic while you guys did Saturday Night Live." Alahna joked. Dave laughed; it was music to the girl's ears. "Of course I'll be watching, you idiot. What kind of question is that?"

"Alright, fair enough, sassy pants." Dave chuckled. "Will Bonnie be watching too? Kurt wants to know... not that he's told me, of course, I've just been cursed with knowing him extremely well."

Alahna sighed. "Just tell him she wouldn't miss it for the world."

If Bonnie had become secretive after finding out about her pregnancy, the secret being out in the open made it ten times worse. She was horrified about the whole truth being out as well so she barely spoke to Kurt if he happened to call wanting to know how she was doing.

As far as the two girls knew, he didn't suspect a thing. And as far as Kurt or anyone else knew, a random man that Bonnie could barely remember the name of was the father.

"I figured as much." Dave replied. "Pregnancy's still kicking her ass, I'm assuming?"

"Yeah, sort of. But I'm looking after her." Alahna replied, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
