FIVE YEARS LATER

Connor

I wish I could say it was all sunshine and rainbows. But it wasn't. There's so much to tell you, but it isn't mine to tell. It's not even just Remi's- there's a lot missing. But we're gonna focus on the good.

I went to Southeast Inn once more, for a full program of 4 months. It was a year after I came home. I healed so much, and came so far, just having the support of my family. Zach and Ana are older now.

We have five kids. Zach, Ana, Louis, Jamie and Simon. We adopted Simon as a baby, and have raised him sense. He's three now. We have a full house, but we aren't the only ones. It's like its tradition to pop out pups as soon as you get marked.

We are talking about having one more, an even six and be done. But then we talk about adopting again, and we're back to square one.

We have a family game night, where everyone has to be home. It's once a month, and we play all sorts of games, eat snacks, and drink too much soda. It's fun, and makes the kids laugh. Zach loves to spend time with his younger siblings, but Ana is getting lonely being the only girl. That doesn't stop her from painting all our nails, or putting cute clips in our hair. We all do it, and it can actually be pretty fun.

I know when Ana grows up she's going to have the most protective brothers out there. It's a beautiful thing really, and I can't wait to be here to see it.

Because goddess, I will.

Ethan. Ethan has been absolutely amazing through everything. He has been supportive, and kind. He's an amazing dad. He wants to be in their lives, and wants them to think back on all the memories they share. He is the first to drop everything for these kids. Pack business and all.

He got more protective once Zach hit 6. Zach got bullied pretty bad, and Ethan lost it. On a human family. That was a shitshow, and now we're all a bit more protective.

Ethan is making this pack a better place for the future of the kids. We have an all-wolves school in the works, and so much more housing for everyone in this pack. We're the most progressive and he's done the bare minimum of his plans.

The kids are in school- and Simon is in his car seat behind my desk asleep. I dedicate a lot of my time to the clinic. I specialize in child therapy, specifically in abuse. We have a program for abusers now too. They go to a specialized jail for werewolves. We built that right before the war broke out.

A girl about Ana's age comes in, with her dark hair in a ponytail and bruises all over her body. My heart clenches in my chest, and I force a smile. "Hi lady, how are you?"

She looks at me, her big brown eyes filled with tears. "M-momma said if she doesn't come home, to find Luna Connor" she whispers, and the ache in my chest starts to grow.

"Well that's me. Do you have a name?"

"Lilly. Momma calls me her little flower"

"Alright Lily, do you want to take a seat and chat?"

She takes a step toward the couch, and swallows. "Momma's gone, Luna." she whispers. "There was a lot of blood, and daddy wouldn't stop.. I snuck out through the window and slept in the trees.. I can't go back"

"Okay. What's your momma's name?"

We talk for a while, and I do get confirmation about the mom being missing and the dad being abusive. No one spoke up. 5 years of changing this pack, going through a war, and fighting for our lives, and no one spoke up.

I bring Lily home, and she takes a shower and puts on some of Ana's clothes. I feed her, and by that time, the kids are home.

Ethan

Years of bliss, a war, and lots of pups. It's been hectic, but there's been so many good memories. I almost lost my best friend, and that almost killed me. But I didn't, and I'm happy. I just finished packing work, and I'm heading home.

I walk in the door, and the house is filled with noise. "Dada Jamie won't play barbies with me" Ana whines, and Connor's voice fills the room.

"Lily and I will play with you after dinner babygirl. Let me finish up here"

"Okay dada!" I don't know who the hell is Lily, but Ana comes out to the foyer, and when she sees me her face lights up. "Daddy!" she squeals, and runs over to hug me. "Will you play barbies with us too?"

"Of course i will baby" i scope her up and hug her tightly. She huffs, and when I set her down she takes off. I head into the kitchen, where Connor is making spaghetti- it's like all he knows how to cook, but he's trying to be helpful. "Looking good Pretty Boy" I murmured, my arms wrapping around his waist from behind.

"It's noodles and red sauce" He murmurs, and I nip his ear.

"Didn't mean the food" he turns to me, his eyes slightly darker than usual.

"Oh yeah?"

"Daddy!!" Jamie yells, and then his little body is being thrown into my legs. I scope him up, and hold him on my hip while I help Connor with dinner. There's a little girl, with dark hair and golden skin sitting at the island.

"This is Lily. She's gonna stay with us for a couple nights" Connor says, as he starts prepping the kids plates. "Ana, take Lily to the table and sit with her please. Dinner is done kids!" Connor yells out, and everyone besides Simon comes running. I set Jamie down, and then I head to the living room where Simon is.

I scope him, and he giggles. "Daddy" he claps, and I kiss his little head. I set him up in

his highchair and Connor sets his food down in front of him. He claps and starts eating the food with his hands.

Connor pushes me over to my chair "Sit, and eat" he huffs, and I roll my eyes.

"What about you?" He waves his bowl in his hand, and I grin.

I love my family, I love my mate. We went through so much ache, and pain to be here. To have this hectic, happy life. I would do it over and over again if it meant I would be here, with my mate and my family.

.....

Finally!! Five years later! They have the most kids I've ever written lol. I love that they adopted too. I think that truly shows what kind of people they are.
